“Quiet and friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed in one of the Falcon suites which was very nice, with a double shower and a jacuzzi bath, and a fireplace. Nice warm suite which turned out to be just as well, because the 2 days we were there were pretty cold -28C (-40C with wind chill). The staff were friendly, rooms well cleaned and the location not bad. It's a short walk into town.

They have free plugins to stop your car freezing, and although we didn't use it this time, the Vic's attached restaurant is not bad from previous experience. There is a pool and finess suite as well - which are included.

Great place to stay if you're skiing in Lake Louise or Sunshine, the town has great restaurants without all the loudness of Banff.

Room Tip: Falcon suite is only $59 extra and feels really luxurious. Hotel is usually quiet on weekdays - on w...

“Convenient and located well”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Stayed here for sleep mainly. was moving to British Columbia. Price was right, location was right but parking lot was under construction. I am generally happy with my stays at Radisson and once again I was. We had a ground floor patio suite where we could park directly outside. This was convenient because during our move the kids would request items from the car which was not far away. Rooms were average, I personally desire a much larger room but who wants to stay inside in Canmore/Banff? Its beautiful here and you won't regret getting a room at the Radisson. 1 night stay 4 person patio room.

Room Tip: Ground floor patio units are best if travelling with children.

“Great stay at the Radisson, Falcon Suite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

Stayed here for only one night early December. Got upgraded to a suite (Falcon). Was generally impressed with the room. Comfy layout. Incredible bathroom with huge spa jacuzzi tub and separate double shower. Wall had some peeling wallpaper that would be an easy fix...French doors to the bedroom ....The sleep number bed was NOT my favorite...now I know I'd never buy one. Ordered food up 2x (dinner and breakfast) and it was quick and pretty good. Only negative I found it to be a bit noisy in the morning...not sure if there is a staff entrance door outside the bedroom window or if it was a place people went out to smoke...Glad it was winter and I didn't have the window open to find out that way. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Friendly staff, great upgrade, nice place.

“Cheerful and charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

A single night stay for business had us checking out the Radisson in Canmore. One of the most delightful things about this property is the fact that the nightly trains rumbled by without waking us. Very happy that there is a Canmore property that doesn't feature the CPR! Overall the hotel was charming. The property has a laid back and calm atmosphere that is good for business or pleasure.

Friendly staff greeted us with a smile and check in. We were given a 2nd floor room with King bed and large flat screen tv. It was extremely compact but sparkling clean, even though it was missing a large number of shower curtain hooks. I would not recommend this room for extended stays due to its size. However, for a one night stop over, it was charming. The bed was a sleep number version which did not work well. I set my number at 30 and woke up to find it had changed to 65. Not a peep from the trains, but my back was not happy the next day. Next time I'll ask for a regular bed.

Nice clean pool and hot tub area in a self-contained building with the work out room. It was worth the chilly outdoor walk. Also try Vics for SUPPER! There is a 2 for 1 steak dinner coupon floating around Canmore for Vics that gives a great deal for a really tasty steak with the trimmings. Sadly, I can not recommend breakfast here. It was very disappointing after the amazing steak dinner we had the previous night. The fruit on my plate was not ripe and the famous smoked bacon I received was dripping grease.

Dear DestinyVP:

Thank you for your feedback on your stay with the Radisson Canmore Hotel. Your feedback is important to us and I have taken the opportunity to share it with our team. I love that you describe us as cheerful and charming as we do aim to make our guests feel welcome and it sounds like we accomplished that feeling with you. I am glad that you enjoyed your dinner with us but was disappointed to read of your breakfast food experience, especially the bacon, as it is a signature item for us, in that Chef cures and smokes it in-house. That was not the bacon experience we want you or any guest to have and we will take the necessary steps to ensure we are producing a better bacon presentation. I am glad your overall experience was good and that you will return to see us again!

Happy Holidays!

“Company Christmas Party”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

On Dec. 3rd, our Company had it's Christmas Party at the Radisson in Canmore, AB. The venue was outstanding! Everyone was very please with their rooms and the service at the front desk was top notch. The food at the banquet was as pleasing to the eye as it was to eat. The portions were plentiful and noone walked away hungry. A few people with health issues related to food (celiacs) and I found the chef and supervisor were very informative on what they should or should not eat. Our package included brunch the next day at their restaurant (Vics). I'm still hearing from people how much they enjoyed this. We will definetly be booking there again next year!
