We booked our stay at sunset through interval. The location was right beside the highway so we had the noise of that. The view from our window was beautiful - looking at the mountain range is gorgeous! Had we stayed on the other side, the view would have been more condos under construction. Our place was roomy, but the carpets were stained and gross. I mentioned this upon check out and the manager said they were cleaning all carpets and several floors were being replaced with hardwood. The front staff were not very professional - like 2 teenage boys running the house!
Canmore is beautiful and there is so much to do - hiking, skiing, day trips to banff, shopping, sledding...we did it all, but sunset resorts wasn't the best.
