Truly. I can't imagine. From the moment you arrive until they walk you to your car when you leave you feel welcomed and well cared for. We came to Vancouver to take in the natural beauty and staying here was an ideal location for all the great hiking and mountain biking trails in the North Vancouver area. Mt. Seymour is at most 15 minutes away and Cypress Bowl and Grouse Mountain no more than a 20-30 minute drive. Vancouver and Stanley Park are still close enough to not be out of the way.

We stayed in the Seymour Suite which overlooked the front yard with beautiful views of the water and of their gardens. The room was tastefully decorated and had a wonderful sitting room.

Breakfasts were amazing. Freshly made muffins or scones and wonderful combinations of fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs were served daily. Julie and Eric were truly interested in each of their guests and were great hosts sharing their stories and uniting their guests together over breakfast.

They gave great restaurant recommendations as well. We took their suggestion and walked to the Arm's Reach Bistro in Deep Cove. Great location right by the water. Food was good, but the location and ambiance made it even more attractive. Their second recommendation was the Dundarave Fish Market. The menu doesn't look very interesting at first glance, but the food was out of this world fresh and perfectly prepared. Julie and Eric have many menus on hand for you to review in advance as well.

You won't be disappointed by a stay here!

We've had the pleasure of staying at Beachview several times now, sometimes just as a getaway to Vancouver, others as a quick business trip to the Coast, and this latest trip was an overnight trip to take in a Michael Buble concert. We brought along friends for a first-time stay at Beachview, and, to no surprise, they too were blown away with Beachview and Eric & Julie. The rooms are lovely, the house is beautiful, the food is exquisite (Eric's cooking is simply sensational!!), the location is great ( just a stones throw from Deep Cove, or just minutes away from North Vancouver) and the view is superb! While I could write superlative after superlative about the location and home, it is the hosts who are truly one in a million, ....perhaps a billion. Eric & Julie are simply the finest hosts (and people) we have EVER had the pleasure of meeting, and after staying in B&B's in locations the world over (from castles in Ireland to ocean front retreats in Greece and Turkey to country homes in Australia), we can truly say that this is the finest b&b we have ever had the pleasure of staying at! It's almost with mixed emotions that we tell others about Beachview, as with any hidden gem like this, you selfishly don't want the word to get out! It used to be that any trip we had to to make to Vancouver we always checked in advance to see if there was availability at Beachview; now it seems that we try find a reason to travel to Vancouver just so we can stay at Beachview!

We couldn't wait to return to Beachview for our second visit! Julie and Eric are so lovely and make you feel so at home! They are so special and everything is wonderful about your stay with them! We stayed in the Burrard Suite again which is beautiful with a stunning view across the Burrard Inlet. I also viewed the other two guests rooms during our visit which are just as lovely. The house is gorgeous and everything is spotlessly clean. There is now a snack bar for guests use in the lounge with lots of lovely treats including homemade cakes and muffins. Breakfasts are just out of this World and so delicious! Every morning is such a treat! The breakfast table is beautifully set and you share good conversation with the other guests and especially Julie and Eric. They also provide you with absolutely everything you may need and go out of their way to make sure your stay is wonderful! We cannot recommend Beachview Retreat highly enough. If you are going to Vancouver stay here, you will not be disappointed! It truly is wonderful and we can't wait to return again as soon as we can!

Our second stay at Beachview and as last time we stayed over a week! Julie and Eric are delightful hosts. From carrying our heavy luggage to our room when we arrived, to phoning ahead for us and then taking us down to the local restaurant by car so that we could walk back later having had a glass of wonderful BC wine, to booking a hairdresser for me on both visits before a special night out. We stay in the Burrard suite. The view is breathtaking, the bathroom large and luxurious and the bed heavenly to sleep on. And they've installed airconditioning in the bedrooms so that the 90 degree heatwave this time wasn't onerous at all and we slept soundly and cooly. Fresh iced water in a carafe each night, fresh flowers every day in the room. Home made breakfasts to die for, and a different one each day of your stay - we're a bit of a challenge having stayed 9 days last time and 8 this, but we never had the same courses. Each course is delivered with flair and explained fully so that you know what you are eating, and it is simply delicious. I love also how there is fresh homemade treats and an array of coffee and teas to partake of when returning back in the afternoon! A lovely touch.

I have nothing bad to say about Beachview. I tried to think of any negatives and couldn't. The wireless internet connection makes keeping in contact with loved ones easy and Julie and Eric always let us print out our boarding passes on their own personal computer when we're leaving.
We'll be back in about eighteen months, and we've encouraged all our friends to make Beachview their place of choice to stay when visiting Vancouver. The drive to the City is easy and quick and the plus side to being at Deep Cove is the scenery and peace and quiet. I always hate leaving, and I always adore returning. What more can I say? Well perhaps this.
