“It was the best place near Vancouver!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I traveled around the Canada such as Rocky mountain and seattle in U.S.A, too.
I hate noisy place like downtown, so I stayed in Richmond where it's famous for the good fortune by geography.
I found one the Stone Hedge B&B through google and stayed there for 4 days.
It was so peaceful and I experienced good atmosphere. And fortunatly I got the engagement ring in that house. I guess it's because I believed the folktale which I heard about the location in the house's land.
Why don't you go to the Stone Hedge B&B and get some good luck? I am sure that your wishes will come true!

“One of the Best Bed & Breakfast in the World”

Have you ever had perfect service at a restaurant? How about a perfect stay at someone's home? Well if you combine the two, then you have an idea of this perfect B&B. This was my experience for three glorious days in December 2011. Treated like royalty, in a most beautifully appointed room, with attention paid to every detail. Doesn't matter what room you pick, the whole place is a gem. (see pictures) Breakfast was so delicious, I still crave it today. This is no continental breakfast, it is a three course affair, hot and tasty with a different menu every day. (see pictures) Hosts Linda & Brian were so helpful, from picking me up at the Airport, to suggesting local sights to see and even giving me a free entrance pass to a Richmond museum. Brian's suggestion on car rental places and procedures saved me a lot of money too. Gardens are a little sparse during the winter months in Vancouver, but I still found roses blooming in December on the Stone Hedge compound. The entire property was tastefully decorated for the holidays, I couldn't have felt more at home. With private entrance to rooms and my own parking stall inside the gated property, I was able to come and go as I pleased. Turn down service, cognac at your bedside, many free videos to chose from, I think you're beginning to get the picture. What I cannot emphasize enough here is just how friendly the hosts are, they will literally go out of their way to help and accommodate you. If you are thinking of staying here, DO IT! I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.

“3rd time I've stayed here, just an awesome B&B!!”

This was my 3rd time staying at the Stone Hedge, and it was just as perfect as the first 2 times I was there. I got the Safari Room once again because I love this little guesthouse by the pool. It is so beautifully appointed, and has the most amazing stone walled shower,
big screen TV and fireplace to name just a few.

Breakfast was so delicious! Blueberry yogurt with fresh blueberries and blackberries and granola on top, blueberry muffins with 3 different choices of jams, and Eggs Benedict.. All this served with bottomless coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Brian and Linda are wonderful hosts and full of information about Richmond and Vancouver, it is really one of the most delightful experiences I have had staying at a B & B and I will continue to stay here whenever I visit Vancouver.

“PERFECT-Nothing better!”

I booked with the Stone Hedge for a weekend with two girlfriends as we were all attending a roller derby bootcamp at Minoru Arena up the road and were wanting something close... I made the booking with Brian (one of the owners) who was over the top accommodating for us. We were given the family suite, two bedrooms, (3 beds in total, one king & two twins), two bathrooms (AMAZING stone shower with the greatest water pressure, and a jacuzzi tub (they said two person, but the three of us managed to fit!))... We were blown away as we were guided by Brian (who picked us up at Bridgeport station at 10pm!) to our entrance at the back, to see the immaculate, illuminated bright blue pool with a fountain in the middle. Being shown the suite, all three of us jaws dropped... The incredible attention to details made us feel so pampered and welcomed, beautiful flowers, a delicious lemon loaf, chocolates on the pillow and who could forget the ever-replenishing grand marnier by the bed. We immediately hopped in the pool and were delighted by how warm it was when it has been so cold out! The gardens surrounding the pool are gorgeous, filled with the sounds of birds and tall trees shelter the yard so it gets sun, but you feel as if you are the only house for miles! Two dining areas, a park bench, and lounge chairs surround the gardens... No matter where you choose to sit, it is beautiful.

We were blown away by the breakfast EXPERIENCE. Fine dining poolside with gold cutlery and several courses, each one better than the last. Decadence is the only way to describe The Stone Hedge. I can't say enough good things about Brian and Linda, they were so accommodating, providing unexpected rides, bringing snacks and treats, (replenishing the grand marnier. lol), providing the history of Richmond, taking pictures for us in the gardens, providing IMMACULATE suites... I could go on and on... There is no question that we will be staying at The Stone Hedge again, and our reviews could not be higher! (We were also shown the Safari House, it is just as beautiful!)

If you are looking for a quiet and decadent getaway and want to feel pampered, I highly recommend The Stone Hedge.

Room Tip: If you are not taking the entire family suite, try to book the safari room.

“My third stay and still five star”

I love staying at the Stone Hedge ( 2009, 2010 and now 2011). The Coopers are warm
and friendly hosts who provide what a traveller needs - A comfy bed with great sheets and pillows in a clean room; a spacious, spotless bathroom and a top rate breakfast.
The Safari House in the garden is my favorite room ( private and cosy ) although I also stayed once in the Royal suite - very nice.

I have travelled quite a bit in Canada and the United States, staying at a variety of hotels, inns and B&B's. If I could move the Stone Hedge to wherever I was going, I would be a
very satisfied traveller.

Room Tip: Safari House if it is available.
