It's always nerve racking booking online, especially when I need budget accom.
But this ended up being exactly what we needed. Do not book here if your looking for an establiashment that sparkles and shines with modern features. It's an old building. There is plenty of marks on floors and walls.
The room I stayed in was a 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds. There was heaps of space for the children (3 and 1 year olds) to roam and crawl, and plenty of space in the room for a cot (we opened the cupboard doors and it fit nicely half in there).
A full kitchen so we were able to cook all our meals and a short walk to plenty of restaurants and little convience shops if we didn't want to cook.
It had a full sized bath tub for the children and although our dryer was a little dodgy it was very convenient to have laundry facilities.
We could hear people moving around in above apartments but this didn't disturb us too much. There is a small (but a little scary) elevator, which was fabulous with the small kids.
I'd hoped, because it is at the end of queen street we could take a walk but it's very hilly and i wouldn't recommend it as a lesurely stroll.
The location was very convenient to all roads headed out of Auckland, as long as you have a map.
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. printing up maps and even gave me some salt for my mashed potato. :-)
Definately no fleas!
