We have just returned from a couple of nights at Wood Farm and what a great find it was. Lovely farmhouse, loads of character and a delightful family.
The bed was enormous and very comfy. Very pretty room, very clean and cosy and every attention to detail. We were the only visitors and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Good breakfast to set us up for a day in York. Lovely hosts, very friendly and presented us with a lovely handmade card for our wedding anniversary! What a nice touch.
Thank you Helen and Claire and of course Bramble ( very friendly dog) Much better than staying in the city centre, park and ride was so much better. Altogether,a very enjoyable weekend.

We had two of the three rooms as we were babysitting our grandaughter of six months. Helen was so helpful microwaving the steralising unit, one less thing for mum to worry about. The beds were huge and comfy- and the linen was lovely in feel and design. Breakfast was what you would expect from a farmhouse - especially the salmon and scrambled egg and home-made jam. Really easy to get around. mins from park and ride.Directions to farm on internet perfect.

Take time to look around the farm - our daughter made friends with lots of calves.
The Dawnay Arms in the village was very good value for money, tasty too.

Helen and Claire and the children made us feel very welcome not to forget Bramble the dog.. The accommodation was of a very high standard. Excellent en-suite bathrooms and beds that ensure a good peaceful nights sleep. Wake up to a lovely garden view and the knowledge that a first-class breakfast was awaiting downstairs...We stayed for four nights and would have loved to stay longer.
