Arrived early; however reception let us leave our luggage in the room even though it wasn't ready, we left our car in the Hotel car park and went off to enjoy our weekend. We stayed 1 night and it really enjoyed it. The room had a double and single bed, TV, Kettle for tea and coffee, hairdryer, iron, the bathroom was sparkling clean. It took 15 mins to walk to the Minster. We had a nice pace walking into York, then on the way back to the Hotel we called into several pubs. Bacon, Sausage (nice sausages), Egg, Beans, Black Pudding, Fried Bread, Mushrooms, Tomato's, and Toast. You could also have Cereal and Continental Breakfast. Eggs in any way you prefer. As much tea and coffee as you want. The bar is lovely, we arrived back late but could still enjoy some Vodka and Tonics and read the papers before bed. I can highly recommend this family run Hotel.
