Beautiful suite with two bathrooms, which was such a treat as I was traveling with teenage boys. Rooms are wonderfully decorated and cozy with fireplace, leather sofa and throw to keep toasty. Was nice to have tiny kitchenette area with fridge to keep breakfast goodies, although no sink, so I felt bad leaving dirty dishes for maid service. I agree with previous reviewer that room by the stairs is loud, but I wear earplugs at night, so wasn't a problem. Also a plus to be able to park very near room. Lobby and lounge area is warm and welcoming; so nice to have a glass of wine in the evening or coffee and snack in morning. Internet access seems to be only accessible in lobby, sketchy in rooms at best, but its so nice to be able to chat with owners, so makes going to the lobby fun. They are a lovely couple, who are so anxious to please their guests and make sure you have a pleasant stay. There were some issues early in our visit and they were speedily attended to and problems solved in no time flat. This is a gem in South Lake Tahoe.

Just got back from a wonderful stay at Deerfield Lodge. The rooms were spotless and beautiful, even had two separate bathrooms! Took a day and went up to Heavenly Valley for some skiing. They make snow there everyday so it was actually good skiing with no lift lines! We plan on going back up soon and often. Ten star experience!

Such a beautiful place to stay! Even though there was no snow the Lake Tahoe area was amazingly beautiful and this lodge really sets the scene and brings all the elements together to make the perfect mountain getaway!! The room was large and still cozy with a great heating system and a huge comfy bed! My only complaint would be that it was a little noisy being right next to the stairway (as only the one room is, so thats easily avoidable!) and that the feather bed and the heavy comforter were a bit TOO warm!!! Hahaha, that part was easily solved by opening the balcony door for a minute and turning down the heat!! The staff were so friendly and helpful, it was almost like going home for the holidays!!! Thanks Deerfield Lodge!!!

The Deerfield Lodge was simply superb. The suites are beautifully designed and comfortable and the owners could not be more accommodating. We had a family trip with daughter, friend and pet and it could not have been better. Highly recommend to anyone visiting South Lake Tahoe.
