“There is no "resort" at the 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

I don't know how this place can call itself a resort. It was more like a cheap hotel passing itself off as a resort. Little things such as paper thin walls, no coffee in the morning, mini-frig not plugged in, and trash around the facility created an atmosphere that was far from being a resort.
The walls of this place were paper thin so all parties and conversations were heard. Tried to use the hotel phone to call when the party got out of hand at 1:30 a.m., but the phone didn't work. Tried to call the other numbers on the phone and none of them worked. Hated to call the police dispatch to report a noise complaint, but had no choice. That finally took care of the problem.
Was looking forward to some hot tea/coffee in the morning when the office opened at 7:00a.m., but the office never got around to having hot tea or coffee by the time I left at 8:00.
Had the feeling that this place just lowered the price for the weekend on the internet just to get people to come. but failed to provide just common-sense services.

“Awesome vacation!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

DOG FRIENDLY. Star!

Great location! Close to everything. Walking distance to the Heavenly Village. 3 minutes, if that. Star!

Super clean, spacious, cozy rooms! The beds... Oh, how nice. Like a cloud. Star!
Decor is rustic with a modern twist. Our room had a fan. Awesome for pushing warm air down. Bathroom had a built-in heater and extremely clean! First thing I noticed was the floor. Wow, was it shiny. The whole bathroom was perfectly kept. Even the showerhead and water pressure was perfect. The toilet was even comfortable. Yeah, I said it. Have a seat! For that alone... star!

The resort altogether was 10 times more than I ever expected based on the price paid. I kept looking for the catch. There had to be something I was missing. There was. The fact that a property could truly live up to its promise without costing an arm and your first born child.

As we drove up, the sign had a big dog with board shorts on. That really tells a visitor that when they say dog-friendly, they mean business. The buildings were in pristine condition. No signs of wear and tear. A natural fit with the trees. Waste disposal stations were everywhere. Each room had a doormat with the company logo. Very quiet place. Lots of room to walk the dog.

Convenience. My goodness. I've stayed in convenient locations before, but this one offered more because it's truly pet-friendly. That's extremely important. The property is a few minutes walk to the Heavenly Gondola. No joke. I stepped out of the room and looked down the street. Even I didn't recognize the gondola since I've never seen it from that view before.

I could rave about 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club for days! Mind you, the beach is also a few minutes walk. Great place to watch the sun set below the mountains. I'm extremely satisfied with our visit. So many great things to say, but I'm sure you get the point. There's a doggy daycare place less than 5 minutes away that offers a frequent visitor punchcard. $18 for day care (each day) vs. the standard rate. Good deal! They are awesome! Drop off the dog, ski/snowboard for the day, then pick up your buddy. Win-win! Star!

I'd give this place more stars. We'll definitely be back. We discovered that the property also has a cabin! We found a place to gather friends for a weekend trip! It keeps getting better and better! We made reservations for another visit before our first stay was over. Just had a great time!

Room Tip: Room 127-129 is great! First floor, secluded and toward the back part of the property. The path to...

“Great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

The husband and I stayed at the Resort for 4 nights during our ski-trip to Tahoe.
We were happy that we found a spot to park our car even though the hotel was booked out. It's proximity to Heavenly, a supermarket and many restaurants makes the location unbeatable.
While the room was very comfortable, well heated and sufficient, it was the care and hospitality extended by Derek and CW that made our stay comfortable and pleasant.
As pointed out to the guys at the time of checking out, the only thing lacking was the faulty heater in the bathroom. I wouldn't be surprised if it is already fixed.

I wouldn't mind staying at the Resort again if we visit later this season.

“Robin our dog loved 3 Peaks Resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

We stayed here last weekend with my sister and her family. We stayed at a two bedroom suite. It was basically one bedroom suites combined.

Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom. This was perfect as my sister had two kids with her. The kitchen was usable. We made our own breakfast one morning.

Location was excellent. We would walk to Heavenly Village. As well as grocery store across the street.

The only thing we would advise is for guests to bring slippers. The carpets were green; it was vacuumed every day but you never know.
Dog friendly. Robin our dog loved it. Plenty of stations with plastic bags around the property.

“Excellent value, amazing hot tub, friendly customer service from Derek, highly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012 via mobile

I have stayed here in the past before it was 3 Peaks and always loved it due to the value and amazing hot tub. It is now only a bi level hot tub instead of the old tri level it used to be. Came here superbowl weekend and they have remodeled since last time I stayed here and it was amazing! While searching for places to stay, everything was in the 250-300 range. Parlor suite with full kitchen was omly 111.50 a night......WHAT?? Clena rooms, great maid service, excellent staff (Derek was the best), full kitchen, and amazing location. I will probably never stay anywhere else in tahoe! FYI, check out the 5 bedroom cabin for large groups....it was a ridiculous steal the sunday we checked out at only 199 a night, WOW!!!!
