Thank you for staying with us when you come to Tahoe! We are independent, but work as "big" as the chains to ensure guests want to come back to us on their trips. It's great to hear you love staying with us! We are close to everything, and what is farther than you want to go with gear, you can get to from the bus that stops right outside streetside. A new addition to our website is the capability to pick from the different room types so you can get remodeled room every time if that's what you want (based on availablity of course). Thanks for letting people know that the non-remodeled rooms are good too. We look forward to seeing you again.

Thank you for staying with us over New Year's Eve. The general high excitement of travelers celebrating the holiday gets pretty intense sometimes, as you've seen for yourself. I'm sorry that a reveler hit your car and delighted we were able to help you get the information you needed. You’ve made your preference for a softer bed very clear and I’m really very sorry we didn’t know about that during your stay. We have mattress toppers at-the-ready for people who prefer a softer mattresses and could’ve had one brought to your room had we known your sleep preferences. We have many types of extra touches that can make a room more customized for our guests; in addition to the mattress toppers and extra-extra pillows and blankets for making beds just the way you like, we have kitchen area add-ons such as electric skillets, additional 2-Burner hot plates, and even sturdy step stools for those who need an assist to reach the cookware stored in the higher shelves of our tableware/cookware stocked kitchen cabinets.

You mention that you thought the kitchen counters were not big enough and I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectation even while I’m a little surprised by this. Most people staying with us are thrilled that we even HAVE a kitchen area, let alone counter space within the kitchen. The kitchens are a bonus in making it possible to prepare some easy meals while away from home, and I’m sorry the amount of counter space was not to your liking.

Even though two areas didn’t meet your preferences (bed softness and counter space), I’m very glad that you took the time to mention the other areas of the unit that DID work for you… the shower was nice, the ceiling fan cooled the room down during our surprisingly hot September, the room was clean and our staff friendly. Sounds like you noticed that we truly aim to please. If you stay with us again, which I hope you do, please let us know what you’d like to see done differently in your room, and we’ll do our best to make your stay tailored to your comfort preferences.
