This hotel is a great value. First off, we stayed here for a weekend trip to Heavenly. Three nights at the hotel and two days on the mountain. If your looking for the Ritz, don't stay here. If you would rather spend money on lift tickets and food then stay here.

Cons:
Uncomfortable bed...mattress is like 6 inches thick
Very basic room, small TV
Can hear other guests in hallway

Lastly, let me reiterate that this hotel is a great value if you don't plan on being in the room a lot. Also if you are coming to the area to gamble, then this place is probably a good deal and cheaper than staying at the casino.

We stayed here last weekend and it was great!! The room was very clean, the staff was so friendly and the price is unbeatable!! It is very close to everything but feels more private. So glad we stayed here, definitely will stay here again when we return!

My family and I have stayed at many motels/ hotels in the area for years and found the recent stay truly a pleasure. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location close to skiing and the nite life was perfect. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Perfect location. What more could you want?!!? We have stayed in quite a few motels in South Lake Tahoe as it's one of our favorite destinations. We'll never stay anywhere else after finding Best Tahoe West Inn. We wish we could come back every week!
