You usually get what you pay for but I found that this motel offers more than you pay for. A basic clean room, a good bed, TV and quite a breakfast spread. The check in/check out was quick and the staff (I suspect this is a family run business) very friendly and accommodating. At the price we paid ($35) you can't possibly ask for more.

Since our granddaughter was getting married in South Lake Tahoe over the weekend, we stayed at this hotel from Thursday and checked out on Monday. Checking in the service was very good. I know many of the hotels in South Lake Tahoe are older - but many have also been upgraded. This room was not what we expected. It was described as a "larger" room - well, my husband and I couldn't walk past each other without stepping out of the others way. The carpeting was very old and bad - the same in the hallways. Parts of the bathroom had been upgraded, but the shower was SO LOW I had to bend over in order to rinse the water out of my hair (and I am just average height) - also, the water pressure in the shower was very low. Of course, rate changes are expected over a weekend at this location - Thursday and Sunday nights were only $35.10 each, and I would say this was reasonable for this particular room - but more than three times the price for Sunday night was definitely not worth it! The bed was softer than usual. On the good side, the Wi-Fi worked well in the room. TV reception on the older TV was OK.

I really didn't think about what type hotel we booked until actually pulling in the parking lot. Check in was super quick (they must be really organized). Went into the room had two great queen beds(nice firm bed), very clean and roomy. After check in I took the dogs for a walk (pet friendly hotel), the beach is only minutes away from the hotel, which was a shocker for me. There are other hotels in the area but by far this one looks the best especially from the outside. They offer a breakfast every morning. Hot breakfast of cooked eggs with sausage, hash browns, waffles, cereal, fruit, sandwiches, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, tea, ect.lol... They have great internet service, We stayed on the side where the office was, I loved how you can just park your car directly in front of your door. We drove over 8 hours from Las Vegas, so that was a huge plus for me, the room access. The rooms are quiet cannot hear in the next room, the bathroom was terrific also with plush clean towels. The street the hotel is on is very quiet and clean also. My 1st time being in Lake Tahoe was an awesome experience but this hotel really made the trip more enjoyable for me. We booked for two nights but extended another night and even wanted to stay a 4th night. Thanks especially to the staff there, Joycelin(not sure of the spelling) they were all friendly and gave as much info as they could about the Lake. Free beach pass was given but in such a short time there with many things to do only got a chance to visit the beach once. My room was on ground floor next to the stairs for the next level. Only draw back was being next to the stairs can hear kids running up and down. But I have no complaints about the room itself. I am already planning a return visit.. This hotel was just OK. Room wasn't too bad, clean. Our room was on the 2nd floor of the building across the road from the lobby. The room had a small balcony, very small desk, and an older style TV. Bed was comfortable. WI-Fi worked OK in the room. The shower pressure was very ordinary.

There is an included breakfast in a small breakfast room, which was more like a corridor just off the lobby. This room got very conjested with most people getting frustrated with having to line up and get in each others way to get their choices. There were hot choices on the Saturday morning, but none on the Sunday morning, except for the Belgian waffle machine which was the most popular.
