“Would choose another place for summer visit.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Distinct 80's feel to the place, room was very dark and bath/shower enclosure downright odd. It served it's purpose as a clean place for my husband and I to stay this past summer, if we still skied it is well situated by Heavenly, otherwise it is far from most activities. Most of the valet staff was great especially if you started off by tipping them well and treating them respectfully. If our daughter had been with us it would not have been an ideal set-up for us given the way the living area was set up. We were busy most of the time and out of the room so it wasn't too bad.

“Family vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

This is a very convenient place to stay if you like to do winter activities with your family. Conveniently located just steps from Heavenly is a MUST go place to enjoy a family vacation. You should take some movie rentals with you as their variety is not as good for "on demand" options specially if you are traveling for a nice relaxing family weekend getaway.

“Great location to Heavenly.”

Stayed here once as a Monarch Grand Vacations owner in 2005 and again this week. The decor appears pretty similar six years later, so I agree with others that it is a bit outdated. Our suv had a roof rack, so we couldn't use their valet-only parking. That was kind of a drag; we had to walk up near Heavenly to park each night. I was concerned about a break-in being so isolated, but luckily no issues. Mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, for reheating leftovers basically. You can't prepare real meals here. I just loved the huge spa, the kids could "swim" in it at night or hubby and I could soak after a day of skiing. Minor complaint was the wooden shutters have gaps in between them, so when you take a shower your little kids can peek in from the living room. Didn't notice this the first time we stayed here w/o the kids. haha

I may return for a third visit sometime and I would recommend Tahoe Seasons to others.... but for how much I paid for holiday travel, I'd prefer to have breakfast included. Food was a bit expensive in Tahoe. Yet, so was bowling....don't get me started. :)

“Communist-Era Staff and Property”

Don't stay here!!! The front desk staff is dismal; the valet in completely inattentive and won't bring up your car unless you go outside with your ticket (you cannot call valet on hotel phone to bring up car); the bellmen are surly; the property is old and dated. There are signs everywhere that the hotel is under construction, but there are absolutely no indications of any kind of work being done.

We are Monarch Grand owners who bought a 2 bedroom/2 bath, full kitchen timeshare. This property DOES NOT have kitchens, only a microwave, mini-refrigerator and coffee pot. You have to eat every meal outside your "apartment," which means this is an very expensive vacation. This is not what we paid for nor what we expected.

Buyer beware!

Room Tip: Don't stay above the pool - so noisy!!

“Clean, but in desperate need of renovations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

We stayed at Tahoe Seasons for Thanksgiving week. Although it was clean and in a great location, the unit along with the Resort itself is in desperate need of renovations...it's so 80's! I'm an owner here ( with Monarch Grand Vacations) and I was surprised at the condition of this facility in comparison to Cancun in Vegas and Palm Canyon in Palm Springs. Here's what I'd like to see changed:
-Remove the HUMONGOUS jacuzzi tub-wastes tons of water, dangerous getting in and out of for kids and adults
-Remove all wall mirrors, especially in the toilet room...so unnecessary
-Update all furniture
-Add a few kitchen dishes (at least real cups for coffee)
-Remove vegas-lighted steps inside room-totally unnecessary and annoying.
If this resort doesn't renovate, I won't be staying here in the future. With 2 small children, it just wasn't practical to have a jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room. The restaurant for breakfast, however, was delicious.
