The 968 hotel has been upgraded with all modern amenities, and feels like a spa and boutique hotel. The bathrooms and rooms have been upgraded with good linens, tile, flooring, TV, lightening. However, we generally stay in cheap hotels so we are normally not used to boutique hotels if that is your custom. (We often stay at Motel 6 on road trips). It is a 'green' hotel that recycles everything and is made from other recycled materials. That program made me happier than I expected because we recycled everything at home and we have always been irritated that hotels do not recycle and throw away so much. The hotel provided a nice continental breakfast of coffee, tea, orange juice, and cranberry or blueberry coffee cake. And indeed, it really is only a 4-minute walk to the gondola lift. They have lockers for skis (bring your own lock), hot tub and sauna. We didn't try or locate the pool. The staff was friendly. It was a young, hip low-key ski crowd including some Europeans and Americans, few families. We are retired, 67 and 70, and loved it because we like camping and road trips and rock climbing, not fancy resorts.

We went in early Feb 2012 for a quick family vacation in Tahoe and stayed 2 nights. With my husband, son and I we got a deluxe 2 queen room. We loved this place. Its not luxury class, but very comfortable. For the same star rating and price I was deciding between Harveyʻs and here, and glad I chose Park 968. It was clean and family friendly, plus no cigarette smoke.

Pros- Location was convenient, close to the Heavenly Gondola and Village. Ample parking. Very comfortable beds, nice flat screen tv and wool carpets made the room relaxing. The radiant space heater worked great and no loud fan!

Cons- Yes the walls are "thin" but luckily there were no raging parties. The bathroom fan is loud, and the bathroom light was dim. Lighting in the hotel in general was dim. No view, if youʻre wondering about that.

We spent two nights in this hotel. The room was very good, and specially clean. The hotel has a hot tube which is ideal after a long hiking day in the cold (we've been there at the end of Autumn).
The staff is very friendly and is nearby the main locations of South Lake Tahoe. You are at walking distance from the lake, you have plenty of restaurants in the area. Also, is very affordable.

My wife and I spent two nights at this comfortable boutique hotel.
We found everything satisfactory including the room, the location and the very friendly staff.
