“superb - family room with separate bedroom for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2010

We have now used St George's Court on two separate occassions, most recently on Boxing Day for two nights whilst visiting family in Ripon and Harrogate. The family room has two bedrooms, our son was dissapointed that the bathroom only had two sinks, as he wanted three (one each). The bathroom has both bath and shower and is well finished off. The room is spacious, clean and tidy.

The breakfast's were fantastic, after the usual cereal, juice, toast, you can choose from full english, pancakes, kippers or smoked haddock, all cooked to order with ingredients sourced locally. I had the smoked haddock with the fillet just fitting on the plate.

The family room cost £75 per night, which compared to alternatives locally and in Ripon and Harrogate is great value, considering the standard, separate children's bedroom and wonderful breakfast.

“Individual farm buildings are...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2010 via mobile

Individual farm buildings are professionally converted to provide spacious and comfortable rooms with high quality en-suite bathrooms
Attention to detail is evident and our breakfasts were more than ample
A good honest B&B and friendly owners
Would also recommend the Half Moon pub for value and friendly service (about 10 minutes drive)

“Absolutely the best B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Spent 3 nights in the family room at St George's Court. This is truly a 5* B&B and definately the best one I have stayed in. The main room was large, very nicely furnished and comfortable, there is another bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom was huge, modern and everything was spotlessly clean. There was a generous tea/coffee tray with home made biscuits, generous toiletries in the bathroom and a couple of robes for guests to use. I especially liked the fact that the towel rail was hot in the mornings as, although we were very lucky with the weather, early mornings in Yorkshire can be chilly so this took the edge of the bathroom. Excellent choice for breakfast, the traditional English Breakfast being huge and would keep one going all day. St George's Court is very child friendly and our 2 and 7 year olds loved it there. The courtyard is a safe place for the children to play and there is a playroom off the breakfast room where the children can go whilst the adults finish their breakfast. The surrounding area is superb, being close to Ripon which is a lovely old Yorkshire town with lots of interesting things to see and nearby is pretty Pately Bridge, Harrogate and York are also very close by. I really couldn't think of anything negative to say about this place and would highly recommend it either with or without children.

“Wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

We stayed in the family room with one son of 9 in separate bedroom. Main room was spacious, clean and well decorated. Bathroom was of high quality. The orientation of the 5 rooms around the courtyard with picnic tables was quaint and inviting, but unfortunately the weather didn't always allow this. The luscious green surroundings were pleasant in a great location. The hosts were very friendly and their kids were great company for our son. We would not hesitate staying here again.

“Excellant large bedroom & on-suite, modern, clean facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2010

We cant recommend this B&B highly enough. Although initialy not our first choice due to the thought of having to cross a courtyeard we are so glad we changed our minds. (The courtyard is only tiny) The rooms have been updated to a very high standard. Wonderful decoration, large comfy bed, large room with high ceilings, luxury modern bathroom, with big soft white towels and dressing gowns to use. huge breakfast and lovely fresh fruit salad (which didnt just contain apple and orange !!!) Everything done to make you feel as welcome as possible and the Grantley Arms pub/resaurant recomended to use was fantastic and went there both nights
