“The Best B&B EVER!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

We came up for a family wedding in July this year (which as anyone knows can get rather stressful). However, our choice of accommodation was everything it could have been to help alleviate this!

Romay's b&b is cosy, welcoming and serves the best breakfast I've ever had away from home, in a dining room overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Bacon and sausages come from her own pigs, and the servings were generous enough to fill up even the men. There were also healthy accompaniments, such as spiced porridge and exotic fruit salad, with as much fresh tea and coffee as you could drink.

The rooms we were in were very comfortable, clean and cosy, and it was really nice being surrounded by unique traditional bits of furniture rather than the standard flat-packs you so often encounter. Our beds were warmed by electric blankets in the evenings, which was a welcome touch. The showers were also really nice and powerful, and it was no problem getting our group of 8 ready in the mornings.

I heartily recommend this b&b for anyone wanting a lovely place to stay in this area - we will most definitely be coming here again in the future!

“Netherton Farm B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

A beautiful well run B&B in Culbokie on the Black Isle and I would highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone looking to stay in the area. We stopped off here on the way back to Orkney and, if I had known how peaceful and tranqui it was, I would have arrived earlier and left later but travel times dictated otherwise. It was less a B&B and more a homely place to stay. Beautifully refurbished and furnished and Romay pretty much gave us the run of the place. Rooms are big and welcoming, en suite cast iron bath after a long journey was a treat. There are table and chairs outside to enjoy the views over Ross Shire or, if weather is not good, enjoy the wonderful living room or dining room with the same views. Breakfast was excellent and Romay is a wonderful hostess. Highly recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in the area. If you are considering Inverness as a stop over, travel those extra few miles to Netherton farm for a relaxing and wonderful experience. Terry & Debbie

“We will be back!”

My wife and I had an amazing stay here, Romay is wonderful and always made sure we had what we needed especially breakfast! We loved the house and the views are such a relief from the city. Our room was extremely comfortable with a great shower and bath and a bed which you would want to stay in forever. It was cold on the first night but the heating came on at just the right time and the electric blankets gave me one of the best nights sleep I've had in a long while. We will definately be booking here again in the future.

“A heartwarming B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

Netherton Farm is a wonderfull guest house. Romay, the owner, welcomed us to a rural but heartwarming place. You will not find any fancy or hypertech stuff in this house but a nicely decorated and arranged warm place where you feel immediately at home.
Located on the Black Isle, Netherton Farm is well placed as a base to start exploring the Highlands. When you come back in at night, you will find a good place to sleep in a clean and well kept bedroom.
Romay will cook you a dinner in the morning as you might remember from your grandma : tastefull and honest food, straight from the garden! Eggs from free running hens and even the bacon was from a self raised pig!
Thank you Romay, for the pleasure we had when staying at your house. Your place really found a spot in our hearts!

“Comfortable, friendly and great breakfasts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

Romay Garcia runs this friendly guesthouse, with comfortable rooms and wonderful views over the Cromarty Firth to enjoy while you eat your smashing breakfast - real free range eggs, bacon and sausages and black pudding, plus porridge and fresh fruit salad with plenty of good coffee. It's fun to visit the pigs too, they are wild boar/Tamworth cross, very nice natured and loving a scratch behind the ears.
