Cannot think where to begin. Everything was amazing from start to finish.
We stayed here for 9 days in Feburary to celebrate our honeymoon, and cannot have imagined choosing anywhere else. From start to finish service and quality was exceptional.
Prior to arriving upon reading previous reviews, I requested a sunset view room (we were in a water bungalow-Room 126). I also asked for a floral arrangement on the bed for our arrival. Both were done for us with no issues. We also received a very tasty cake as a congratulations for getting married. Snorkelling was fantastic, there were so many fish! And the stingray feedings at 5pm quickly became a highlight.
Food at Latitude and Open - The Grill was fantastic. We especially loved the plentiful choices of fish, and specifically the wasabi pizzas at the grill. Staff were also excellent, with a special thankyou to Hussain and Sattar who were so friendly and accomodating. We had chosen the all inclusive package and it was well worth it. If you don't you would easily be spending $300-$400/day per couple, not including alcohol.
The Jiva spa was lovely. We got a couples massage which ended with an hour in a rose petal filled stone bath and a bottle of Moet-absolute bliss. And it was not nearly as expensive as it would have been back in Australia.
On Saturday nights they have a cocktail night where everyone, guests and staff get together for some food, drinks and fun. Staff members, and the General Manager-Sushil, were so friendly, and came up to you and had a good chat.
I cannot praise Sushil enough for his friendliness to guests and his own staff. They all seem to have a great relationship which is fantastic-he obviously takes care of his staff. Sushil was there to the very last second, waving goodbye to us from our boat as we departed.
I've saved the last mention for the amazing Kanaan at the bar. Not only did he make sure we constantly had drinks and were happy, the first night we were there he asked what songs were played at our wedding, and then to our suprise we heard them playing over the speakers in the bar. However this was nothing, he did not have one of the songs, so when he went home he sourced it, and the next time we were in the bar we heard the song playing. He went out of his way for us and I simply cannot praise him enough, thankyou so much Kanaan for everything you did, especially the little orange face you made on top of one of my cocktails.
I highly recommend this hotel to stay at, it was amazing and we have already made plans to go back in the next 5 years!!!

Island layout was beautiful. Room was gorgeous. Staff were professional and friendly. Food was five star. Spa treatment and activities were gold. We were treated like royalty throughout our whole time there. Perfect honeymoon. Thanks to sushil and his team of staff for our perfect stay.

Althought this was our first trip to the maldives we frequently travel all over the world and this was truly a travel highlight. We were so impressed with the resort, firstly the design which is understated but with very high quality materials, finishes and details. We stayed ina water bungalow which has a gorgeous deck the steps direcly into a secure lagoon with coral and tropical fish at your feet.

I am just learning to snorkel and this was the perfect environment. The water is chest height, filled with coral and fish and surrounded by a distant rock walls that seperate you from the actual ocean. I felt really safe and built confidence quickly to venture out into the surrounding ocean of the island. the coral reef is gorgeous and so easily accessible. We took a trip out to the Blue Lagoon which was incredible. It was like being in an underwater film, the coral is stunning, we saw turtles and rays and huge schools of tropical fish. It's too hard to describe, an absolute must.

The food at Lattitude restaurant far exceeded expectations. Breakfast menu is ala carte and offers everything, lunch and dinner are 3 courses and gorgeous no matter what you order. We were not dissapointed once. The staff are extremely freindly and attentive without being overbearing. We had the all all inclusive package. We considered the options but if we had gone half board or pay as we go we could have doubled our bill. It was so much easier and cheaper to not have to think about it.

Quick tips would be arrive as early as possible to make the most, we were given early check in-10am and late checkout too which made all the difference to the first and last days.

Thoroughly enjoyed, would definately go back knowing we enjoyed every moment, even though we prefer not to go to the same place twice, I honestly feel like other places would be compared to this high standard and wouldn'waste time being dissapointed.

The Coral Reef is an excellent hotel to experience the beauty and luxury of the Maldives without paying through your nose.

The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable with an attached patio. We were on the beach villas and had a hammock and a patch of beach as well.

The pool and the diving activities make this hotel worth visiting. As the name suggests, it is located on a coral reef. The hotel offers a variety of activities from deep sea fishing to snorkeling. The trainers instantly put you at ease without compromising on your safety.

The hotel staff strike the perfect balance between being friendly and warm while giving you the space to enjoy the location.

The breakfast fare is excellent however the the menu for the other meals could be a bit more imaginative.

All in all a great value for a family trip!
