A traditional Spanish colonial house and courtyard converted into a hotel. Very atmospheric, comfortable and relaxing. Staff friendly (particularly El Zorro himself), and a great place to get away from the concrete and steel hotels in some other parts of Mexico.

This is apparently where Zorro used to live. The hotel is an old colonial mansion in the middle of El Fuerte and exudes old world charm. The rooms are basic but adequate. The restaurant is particularly atmospheric and the food is good. The staff are also very good and friendly and add to the experience.

Beautiful hotel, real "old Mexico". Great ambiance. Loved all the tile and courtyards. Gardens were beautiful! Very colorful. Staff very friendly. Very nice large covered outdoor lounge by the pool. The breakfast buffet offered everything, and seating was in a colorful covered open air courtyard. Great photo ops all over this place. The sea bass we had there for dinner one night was the best I've had.

We were on a tour with the Balderrama Group. Cannot say enough about how organized & friendly their people were on the Copper Canyon tour. Alfredo, who picked us up & actually dropped us off at the conclusion of our trip was wonderful. Dinner at this hotel was excellent. Town is very safe to walk around in.
