We stayed at the Common Barn Farm in September 2011 in a B & B room.
We spent nice holidays there. The farm and rooms were very lovely equipped. We had everything we needed. Rona, who's the owner of the farm, together with her man, is a very nice, caring and warmhearted woman. She helped us a lot, gave us great tips. Also she took us along with the car, because we haven't one. The location is very good for walking and there are also public footpaths, so you don't have to walk along the street. The breakfast was very delicious, we got a big card from which we could choose our favorite breakfast. All in all we enjoyed our stay there and will definitely come back. :)

My family and I just stayed for one night, although wish it could have been for longer. A lovely place, great location, clean, friendly and the views from all aspects of this lovely farm are breathtaking. Quite possibly the best breakfast in the UK!

Stayed in one of the self catering cottages on the farm which sleep six. lovely sizes bedrooms, with very comfortable beds. Walls thick so the children did not wake us or my mother in th morning! There were lots of little extras in the cottage, 1/2 doz eggs and a bottle of wine as well as toiletries. Also books to read, a playstation, dvd player and lots of games and puzzles in case of bad weather. All tastefully decorated, comfy and warm.

I actually stayed at Common Barn August 2010. The room was excellent, beds comfortable, showers strong and hot...The breakfast was a feast, freshly cooked to order and Mrs Greengrass made a special effort to meet the Gluten Free diet of my daughter. She was a great source of information about the surrounding district and guided us to one of the best restaurants in the area. I was born in Macclesfield and it was wonderful to be able to be so close to town, yet enjoy the countryside close by with access to scenic footpath walking in this part of the Peak District.
