There remains little to be added to previous reviews. Arboussols is a hamlet nestling to the Roussillon mountains accessible on a small road climbing up. As a reward you will get a warm welcome from Claudia and Francis at their unique "Les fenêtres du soleil" B&B (which in fact is a Catalan country house set in stone) and breathtaking views on the Canigou mountain ridge both from the terrace and the rooms. The magnificent landscape corresponds to the scenery set indoors and a setting with all amenities.
Taking all that into account this real gem stands easily comparison with other lodgings and is second to none. We are looking forward to returning to this magic place in the beginning of August.

The place is unique, incredible and charming. It's beautiful and peaceful. People there is very kind, helpful and friendly but sensitive and knows how to respect calm and intimacy, but here when you need!

I was a guest of Claude and Francis in Arboussols for several times and I would not like to miss one single stay. Beside the overwhelming friendly atmosphere I like most the view from the breakfast table over the valley of the river Ille to Mont Canigou, a 3000m high montain. It is amazing every day.
The B&B is situated in the center of a small village, just beside the chappel. To reach the mediterreanian sea with huge sand beaches or little you have to drive approximately 30 minutes, but you can start a number of walks and bike tours from the house.
In the villages around there are lots of possibilities to get great regional food, everytime we have new discoveries of recommendable places. You can also visit historical places or enjoy the beautiful landscape.
The rooms are designed very romantical, all in different colours and kept clean and very well maintained. Two of the four rooms are two stories high, so have a bed also on the upper level.
