“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

Aard Oakleigh, has by a country mile been the best place I have ever stayed. The room was absolutely first rate & spotless, with a comfy bed. June the owner provided a wonderful Irish welcome, & was most thoughtful when catering for our needs.
Breakfast was most definitely one of my highlights. Fresh baked Soda Bread & Scones to die for, a large range of cereals (the home made granola was fantastic), fresh fruit, plenty of coffee or tea, and a range of superb cooked meals (I recommend the Full Cooked Irish).
Set in lovely rural Co Kilkenny, it has a super view & the gardens are large.
Would I stay again? Yes! Yes! Yes!! I absolutely loved it.

“Best B & B of our trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

We stayed here for two nights on October 1, 2011. Our room was immaculate with a double and single bed and beautiful view through corner windows. On the desk was a bottle of water, cookies and more. The breakfast was our best Irish breakfast with homemade granola and hot scones. June game me the recipe for both items, and she couldn't have been nicer. She also recommended our favorite restaurant of the trip--Sol Bistro in Thomastown. Great choice of a place to stay!!

Room Tip: We used the B & B website to choose 4 or 5 star B & B's.

Aard Oakleigh was our favorite B&B by far on our trip. June (the proprietor) was awesome, and has put so much thought and care into every small detail. The room was the largest and most comfortable that we stayed in on our trip, and the bathroom was wonderful as well (offering a full bath!). The yard/grounds were stunning, with fruit trees and trellises, situated in a quieter area slightly off the beaten path. Breakfast was wonderful, with the best food on our journey (wonderful jams, scones, free range eggs, variety of teas, etc). A short walk from a nice local pub called The Corner House, and just a short drive from Kilkenny. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning!

“A quiet night in the country side”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

The Aard Oakleigh B&B was a great choice just a few miles from Kilkenny in Bennetbridge. The room was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was a great full Irish Breakfast. The lady who ran the place was friendly and very helpful. The closest restaurant was recommended by the owner in the next town of Thomasville.

Room Tip: Get the room at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and pasture.
