We stayed here one night mid-week for our wedding anniversary. It is an amazing haven just a step away from Yeovil. It is homely but professional, extremely comfortable and the food - from the shortcake in the room to the afternoon cake by the open fire, wonderful dinner and tasty generous breakfast - was all divine.

We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate a special birthday. I told them in advance about the special occasion but there was no reaction when we arrived or during the time we were there. Not a single member of staff wished my wife happy birthday. They were pleasant enough but we felt no warmth. Food very good, room OK, a bit gloomy, wife found lighting poor for her makeup. All rather too businesslike and clinical for our taste but we found others who had been going there for eleven years.

We had our Wedding Anniversary meal here and could not fault the food, the service and the ambience. Lovely place.
