Very smart and atmosphere buzzy. Lovely place for a special treat.

This is the second time we have stayed at Lanes Hotel and we chose to return and spend our Christmas break at this lovely hotel.

Just like our first visit to Lanes everything and everyone was perfect. The hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The atmosphere was peaceful and full of seasonal goodwill! The food was absolutely gorgeous: imaginative, freshly made, delicious and abundant.

Alison, John, Ken and their staff are wonderful hosts. There when you want them and generous with their attention to detail. Kind, lovely people.

We were both experiencing our first Christmas without our respective children (they were with their other parents - we didn't just leave them to fend for themselves!) and despite being sad about that we definitely chose the right place to make it better for us. Thank you for making our Christmas very special...the stocking full of gifts left by the bedroom door on Christmas morning was a lovely touch.

The hotel was very tastefully decorated and had a really nice bar and lounge area. We stayed in the Penthouse which had a bathroom bigger than some hotel rooms! The restaurant food was good although I think they should offer some daily specials. Overall, a very good hotel.

We were booked into a re-union at Lanes, West Coker Somerset, and decided to stay over night to avoid "Drinking and Driving" etc. Good decision!
The food in the Brasserie was first class and our Double room in the Hotel exceptional.
The room was well furnished in a modern but comfortable style. We were most impressed by the note that the contents of the mini bar were complimentary! (Nuts Chocolate bars and none acoholic drinks etc.
Excellant breakfast, first class staff, and overall no complaints or negative observations at all! I wish more hotels were as well appointed and comfortable as this one was.
