We have just come back from our trip, and stayed in this hotel only a few days ago. We found it to be a very nice place to stay, the location is just amazing, one of the nicest situated hotels I've ever stayed at, with views that would be hard to beat.

I would opt for the superior bay view rooms, these seemed quite a good size for the 2 of us, and have lovely views and are nice and quiet.

The restaurant has very good food. We enjoyed eating there. The breakfasts also were fresh every day and there was plenty of both hot and cold dishes on offer. It was in fact the best breakfasts I've ever seen offered by hotels, so not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about.

The only small complaints I would have about the place is that the power went off briefly on 2 out of 3 days we were there, and it was definitely only the hotel, not the area which suffered from power problems. Also ordered a bailleys, which definitely wasn't bailleys, not sure what it was...but I would avoid asking for bailleys there. Apart from that, they seemed very attentive to our needs, and was always very friendly in their manner.

Its about 3 1/2 km from Kotor, we walked most days which was fine, but can be a bit scary at night as there is almost no footpath to walk on and the cars fly around there at break neck speed sometimes. You should only pay around 3 1/2 euros for a taxi each way though, make sure they use the meter. If arriving by Bus to Kotor, the taxis at the bus station seem to be keen on cheating people, If there are no taxis with a meter, walk a few more minutes towards the town, the red taxis there seem to be quite honest.

This is the best hotel in the area. The food is amazing and you can eat outside surrounded by amazing views.
Access can be difficult along coast roads & drivers arent very cautious - so this area is not advised for the faint hearted.

After staying in a badly serviced 4 star Amfora Hotel we made our ways to another 4 star hotel in Kotor. This hotel looked very beautiful and professionel.We were very happy to leave Amfora and didn't care about the cold welcome at check-in.The room was exceptionally dark so we asked for another one with balcony and with additional charges they gave us a very small room with a tiny balcony but more light.The first morning breakfast was again good with warm and cold food and pastries.The next morning there was no warm food and the pastries were from the day before.The 3rd morning everything which was left from 2 days before were waiting for us.We complained about the food to the guy who was serving us but he said he doesn't care since he explained to us that he is a bar attendant.We found out that the waiters left the hotel since they were unhappy.We complained the receptionist about the bad service and old food thinking the next day everything will be solved.The 4th morning there were the pastries from 4 days before and the 5 day old fermented joghurt and the rest of the all food which is also at least 5 days old were waiting for us.We were tired of waking up every morning and complaining and receiving no understanding or apology.We complained again about the breakfast and the algae in the pool(the pool seemed to be not cleaned for at least a month). We then asked if we could talk to the manager. The hotel manager was unreachable and busy all week! She said she understood us and apologized! We were happy that somebody apologized for the first time after all our complaints.The next and the last morning there was still the same food which was 6 days old!But the waiter was asking all the time if he can do sth. for us.We asked for various things(like honey or any fresh pastries),since they didn't buy any thing for the kitchen he couldn't serve us but at least it was nice of him to try.
As we checked out,everybody was relieved that this torture was over.

When we arrived check in was fast and easy. The hotel itself was on the pretty kotor bay with a nice deck for guests. And there was a nice pool for the kids. But when we got to the room there was not even enough room for our bags! The room and bathroom were soooo small. But at least it was clean. The meals were good and the service was fast. Overall, the stay was okay
