I was delighted to be able to spend three incredible nights at this special place. To begin with, the hacienda itself is absolutely stunning. We loved the way that the Starwood Group was able to preserve the history of the property and combine it so gracefully with all the comfort and elegance we've come to expect from the Luxury line. Every day it felt like we were waking up to some lovely fantasy, steeped in tradition but also delightfully modern at the same time. And then there was the staff: Everybody was so friendly and helpful! We never felt intruded upon but always well take care of. And it was a real treat to be able to join the staff for the celebration of the Virgen de Guadalupe festival and holiday. It was a stay we will always remember!

Had two wonderful nights at the Hacienda Temozon. They have done a beautiful job of restoring (not ripping out and replacing) the hacienda. Our room, a standard room was quite large and comfortable. While i very much respect the desire to keep the old and update it, a few comfier chairs and some updates in the bathroom would be nice - but these are very small inconveniences at beautiful property. We had a special dinner for my partner which was lovely - set on the grass, overlooking the terrace of the hacienda. The staff was also great, particularly Cesar who gave us a wonderful tour of the history of the hacienda. I would highly recommend! It's an easy 40 minute ride to Merida and other local Mayan ruins. That said, be aware that this is in the middle of the country - not much more around so dinner on the property is a must. That said, the food (not cheap but not outrageous) is quite good. By all means go and experience this wonderful hacienda in the Yucatan Peninsula!

Both my wife and I travel extensively for work and pleasure all over the world and we both agree that this was one of the most, if not the most enjoyable hotel stay we have ever had. We found the staff very friendly and attentive even though some spoke limited English. Apparently the Property always tries to hire locally, which we fully support. We enjoyed the the opportunity to work on our limited Spanish skills. Upon checking in we were upgraded to junior suite because of my SPG Platinum status. It was a beautiful room that maintained all of the "orignal Hacienda charm" that we were hoping for and more. Along with that were some less than modern attributes such as doors that do not fully seal out some of the interesting insects, but since we are used to tropical environments we were not overly alarmed and turned on the AC at night to ward off insect bites. Don't get me wrong, there were very few insects in the room. We ate at the restaurant for all of our dinners and 2 of our lunches. The service was very good and the food was well prepared and tasty, especially after spending 2 weeks in Merida beforehand. My only complaint was the price of drinks: Mx$ 1,300 for a Marguerita and Mx$ 650 for a cerverza!!
For us the highlights were:
- the staff
- the character of the property and the traditional look of the rooms
- the privacy - 8 of the 28 rooms were occupied when we were there
- our private excursion to swim in the cenote - one of the most memorable!
- special treatment in the restaurant; every dinner they provided " free sample " appetizers and desserts
- sundowner drinks on the front veranda
- proximity to Uxmal and Merida
- the Property's social and environmental policies
- How they handle customers - we had a minor incident on the last night when the there was a miscommunication and the maid forgot to provide turndown service. The next day we got apologies from both the GM and HK Mgr, in addition to getting comped for a USD$80 dinner from a previous night! this was totally unexpected for what we thought was aminor over-site.
Overall this was one of our top travel experiences, which is saying a lot given our global travel over the past 30 years.

Living in this hacienda is the perfect combination between a luxury hotel and a traditional experience. You cant miss. However, its far away from town.
