We hated leaving this place! I'm gald we were here for two days. the property is beautiful. Flowers and lovely green lawns. and the cabins are tucked away so you feel secluded but not abandon. The deck off of our cabin was very spacious with three chairs and two side tables. Everything is well cared for, freshly painted and or stained and clean..clean..clean!! Tthe best view of the glacier right in front of us! The common area of the cabin had a cozy gas fireplace that you could regulate the heat, plus a couch that folded out into a bed and a little kitchen area and table with 4 chairs. No stove, but there was a microwave and a coffee maker with coffee supplies. The bathroom was very clean and had a shower, toliet and sink within thebathroom, so it was private. We had a private bedroom with a queen sized bed and a window. this cabin was so cozy and comforting and the owners of the property were great. The restraunt is on the property. We had breakfast there both mornings and the pancakes were great. They have wifi and let you sit in the restaurant to catch up in internet stuff. Their daughter was so nice she recommended the glacier hike to us and when we realized we didn't have any sun screen she voluntered to drive home and get some!! how sweet!. If you are traveling the Glen Highway you should stop here for a day or to.

We stayed two nights in the Tundra Rose cottage and had an amazing time. The views were stunning, the cabin was spacious but cozy and the Grand View Cafe next door served up some great food. We used the Tundra Rose as our base camp for a day ice climbing with MICA guides about 5 miles west of the cottage (something else that's a ton of fun in this area). The cottage had a gas stove that was attached to the thermostat so late at night when the temperature dropped the fire place would automatically ignite. Very cool feature. The owners don't service the room every day, but this was not a big deal for us. Guests of the cottage can use the laundry facility at the Grand View RV park next door. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through this area. We had a wonderful time.

We stayed at the Tundra Rose with a group aging from 9 to 79! All the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with board games and books. There was a nice trail behing the Tundra Rose cabin, and the porch had a fantastic view of the Matanuska glacier. Especially recommended was the Grand View Cafe next door (owned by the same family). This was a great experience. Highly recommended!

We were thrilled to have discovered this little gem nestled in the mountains near the Matanuska Glacier! The handcrafted cabins were warm and welcoming and the Dietrich family made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I loved sitting on our private deck overlooking the glacier ! We would highly recommend this stay for anyone!
