My husband and I spent one evening here before catching an afternoon ferry to France. Too bad we didn't schedule a longer visit. Lucinda and her Cottage are charmingly inviting without being fussy. She welcomed us with plenty of local information which permitted us to have a long walk before dinner, and another after breakfast the next day. We walked along nice paths into quiet forests and along fields of sheep and horses - lovely ! Dinner was at the Woolpack Inn - not to be missed !

Our room "Freda" was large, spotless with an incredibly comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom is bright and airy. The view onto the garden is lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Lucinda's jams and marmalades can't be beat for their flavours.

We would highly recommend the Castle Cottage for a quiet escape.

We booked a mid week break at this great little B&B and were not disappointed. This pretty little cottage nestles in its beautiful garden just to the side of Chilham Castle grounds and a stones throw from the historic village square. Lucinda made us so welcome from the moment we stepped into the little garden gate until the time we paid our bill.The ensuite rooms are spacious and interesting with special treats like the "magic biscuit tin " that is always full !Breakfast is a delight with choice beyond compare, homemade preserves, local apple juice, warm bread as well as the numerous other options.(the fig jam is to die for).The rambling garden is a perfect place to relax with special little corners to hide in and read or snooze. The village has two excellent pubs, there really is no need to go elsewhere, We loved it here!

Wonderful B&B for a short break. Chilham is exceedingly pretty, and perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The Castle Cottage is conveniently located, with very comfortable rooms and great views of the beautiful countryside. Breakfast was excellent too, and the room was cosy and warm even in snowy December temperatures. Highly recommended!
