“Enjoyable stay at Broome Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

Recently stayed at Broome Park with 4 other friends. We had more than enough room with 2 bd rooms and a pull out couch. There was a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. If there was an issue it was with the original guide that was recommended in the hotel brochure, " Richard" was not to our liking and did not full fill the arrangements we had set up with him. Through the front desk we were give the name of the local taxi run by "Barry" and we set up tours of London with his driver "Martin". I can't say enough good stuff about this tour. He picked us up at 5am and we returned late in the evening. We saw so much of London for 2 days straight, many things that most tourists would never find on their own. Plus Martin covered so much history with us and was very informative. We so enjoyed our time with him and would highly recommend hiring him for any areas in the London, Canterbury and Dover countryside. There was also a very nice pub The Jackdaw less than a mile away that has a very interesting public footpath the runs between Broome Park and the Inn through some fields and pastures that we had fun taking. Overall it was a great experience !

“Stay at Broome Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

I can not say enough good about this week stay at Broome Park. My friends and I arrived in a taxi in the middle of a rainstorm and the ladies behind the desk donned their rain gear and took all of luggage to our cabin in their own cars!!! They did not have to do this but the did. The front desk ladies were extremely helpful all the time with every one of our requests. We needed a tour and they arranged it. If we needed a bus schedule they had it.
The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the stay.
I would recommend renting a car. You can get by with the bus system but if you are used to driving in your own country I think you would be happier with the freedom to come and go as you pleased. I was told by a gentleman that we ladies could definitely drive on the left side of the road with no problem but alas we did not do it and it was a detriment to our enjoyment.
The pub was comfy and the food we ate two nights in the restaurant was very good.
I would stay again as it is a wonderful place.

Room Tip: All the cabins are the same and all nice with a deck on each one. The wildlife was nice to see.

“Country Living”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

My wife and I visited this Hotel on a time share promotion and was not dissappointed, The hotel I am told is Grade 1 listed and is Jacobean in architecture..and has a golf course which I believe is good and 18 holes but didn't take part so got no views on that..but the rooms at the hotel are superb, elegant is under stated.with full kitchens if needed there is a grocery store nearby but there is restaurant on site.It is esssential that you have transport on hand..There are nearby vising areas such as Canterbury and Folkstone, we enjoyed our weeks stay and will go back one day.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

“Would definitely recommend a stay!”

Would definitely recommend a stay! We rented a woodland cabin with 2 bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms) which was very well-equipped, spacious and way nicer than seen online. We took the South Eastern High Speed train which brought us to Folkestone/Dover from London Kings Cross(St Pancras) in 1 hour!.
We choose Broome Park as short lets are available, no need to book a full week.

the cabins are perfect for both couples and families - secluded with all facilites. If you stay in the house - remember it is VERY old and the only failing point is the water pressure. Oozing history, perfect location for travel, in house restaurant excellent, friendly staff. and of course forgot to mention on site golf!!! We have stayed in both the lodges and house and try to rebook every year. There are walks and quite a few good pubs nearby. Limited catering in the house - adequate pool , tennis , croquet on the lawn etc etc. Please dont tell everyone though as it really is one of Diamonds best kept secrets. Why am i writing this review !!!! enjoy
