This was our first experience in a homestay so were a little skeptical as to what to expect. However as soon as we reached Jade, it was love at first sight...
The location is excellent, surrounded by greenery and nestled within the Brahmagiri hills. The rooms are clean and well maintained. This place has a charm of its own.
Kabir and Megha are great hosts who always made us feel at home. There are lot of places to see around and Kabir was a great help with the roadmaps to these places. In fact we kept calling him for directions once we were out site seeing and he was happy to help us.
Aunty ( Kabirs mom) cooks wonderful food and we got a good taste of the coorg cuisine.
All in all, it was a wonderful trip and if we were to go there again, we would not think of any other place than Jade.

I am a guy who is very critical of food if not prepared well.This place had an amazing taste in veg and non veg. The owners Megha and Kabir are a provide a great hospitality one could imagine. The rooms are decent. The place is quite and nice.I never write reviews for places but i had such an amazing exp that i am forced to do by my innerself :)

Of course there's not room for everyone but I'm so glad I found Megha, Kabir and Auntie. The opportunity of staying on a coffee plantation should not be missed. The room was lovely ,unique, spotless and we loved that there were screens on the windows .2 hammocks to lie in outside - Situated on a river, walk and smell the coffee, see the pepper. Quiet and peaceful and so near Nagarhole. We went to Nagarhole twice and it was easily arranged for us as was any other request. Learned from Kabir how white pepper is prepared. It was fascinating. We had made a reservation many months earlier and The Jade was closed the weekend that we were there (family wedding), but they still hosted us because we were coming from so far and had counted on it for so long. That was amazing and we so much appreciated all their good advice. They treat you as part of their family.
Kabir's mom rules the kitchen and she's an amazing cook The dining room is outside in a lovely setting. Real homestay with dinner when you want. I loved it and can't wait to go back.
Last but not least if you're lucky enought to be there when the coffee is in bloom, you redefine coffee in your mind forevermore. It has the most beautiful scent, that takes you to how beautiful the flower is....Enjoy

My wife and I appreciated the warm welcome and excellent food. The rooms were scrupulously clean with many personal touches of soaps and flowers and friendly advice. The ability to walk in the coffee plantations of the extensive estate added to the fun. Well worth a stay and good value.
