Have just returned from a two night stay,and although the standard rooms are on the small side, at least the bed is not against the wall. Looking as though recently refurbished the room was very clean and adequate for needs. For the first night evening meal we popped next door to the Gissons pub/hotel and wished we hadn't.Our second night we stayed in and had a most delicious shoulder of lamb well presented, The bar and restaurant were very quiet and with that chef I can't understand why.I would recommend.

We stopped at the Exeter Court Hotel on the 2nd September 2011 enroute from Essex on our was to Hayle in Cornwall. Checking in to the hotel was great the receptionist was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is simmilar I guess to an american motel with several accomodation blocks surrounding a large car parking area. The rooms were very comfy and spotlessly clean. We decided to have a meal that evening in the main restaurant which was reasonably priced and very nice. We could have also eaten in the bar area where the food was a little cheaper but looked equally as appetising. Breakfast the following morning was great and made from good quality ingrediants. The usual full english or continental being available. All in all I had no complaints and would reconmend stopping at this hotel to anybody. In fact I intend to re book again for this year to break up our planned trip again to Cornwall.

stayed for 1 night the 6th dec very good value for the price charged.Good food on offer in the bar and resturant no need to go anywhere else
the only dislike are the use of shower curtains a bit out dated and a pain. A shower screen would be best suited.
would certainly recommend this hotel ,we have stayed in many this year.and it ticks all the boxes for short stays.

Have stayed here a few times this year and i love it!
Ok so the rooms are a bit too small if you are travelling as a couple but for business or solo use then they are fine, they are well kept, clean and warm, the beds are a bit on the small side but are comfortable. The showers are so powerful they definatley wake you up in the mornings!
The bar is cosy and if it isnt full of locals then is very nice, the food is outstanding and very good value for money.
A lot of top quality hotels could learn a lot from here, the staff are extremely friendly and cant do enough to help you, a lot of them are eastern european but they are fluent in english and to be honest put a lot of english people to shame as the are passionate about their jobs!
Would definatly stay here again
