I had booked my sister a water ski lesson at Tannington lakes and was looking for something in area. ( 4 adults & 1 Child). Just wanted a B&B within our budget, where we could get food and drink in one place and comfortable bed close to the location. The Oak Inn definately was perfect for this. Never knowing what you get of web sites but we were happy. Very friendly host, Good size rooms ( older furniture but clean and very acceptable for price)with en-suite, cosy bar not a beer garden as such but we sat outside on decking area- pleasant .and EXCELLENT breakfast. We did venture into Stamford for excellent chinese but sat in bar when we arrived and when came back. we had 2 small issues but the owner was lovely and very soon rectified this as best as he could at the time. Would recommend if like us you are looking for Good value for money and a great breakfast.

We needed to stay close by and this fitted the bill. A bit noisy at night, being on the main road. Friendly owner. It would be nice (and England could perhaps catch up with other European countries) if proper coffee was served at breakfast, not instant.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the breakfast wasn't the best. Would stay again though.

This is a funny little inn in the village next to Stamford. It's very cheap, the welcome was a friendly one and the rooms, although in need of a bit of repair, were clean and homely enough.
