What can i say when we all decided (11 of us kids incl) that we needed a holiday my sister-in-law discovered Oaklands.... my first thought r they ready for us!!!! and YES they were..... Hugs and kisses plenty on arrival by Annie who made us feel straight at home.... Oaklands is to me one of the most memorable family holidays ever and am counting sleepies til me next visit. The family Suites were 5 star, the food was out of this world, even my son misses the food! we had adventures, family outings and the best ever was the fact that the kids could do their own thing and we were not worried about them.... My mom especially loved the fact that there was Portuguese Channel available to watch.... Annie, Kathy, Carmen and Mumpy u guys r truly an awesome family and we feel like part of your family now..... U will see us soon.... Miss u guys and Thank You for an awesome Holiday

“Another winning trip”

Another trip out to Oaklands, this time for two weeks in December over Christmas and New Year, to play a lot of polo and for two friends to get married. A fantastic trip, with the usual excellent level of service both for the whole stay, and for the three days of the wedding when the hotel was packed. Great food, extremely comfortable rooms, and first class polo training and chukkas with Terrence Spilsbury, an inspiring four goaler who runs a set up with the best ponies, whether you are a beginner or more experienced. According to more accomplished friends, there are other good polo packages in SA, but the Oaklands/Spilsbury combination ties the best polo with the best hotel. I cannot wait to go back in April.

“Excellent Family/Gourmet Getaway”

We had two fabulous nights at Oaklands - the cuisine and wine surpassed our expectations (the best seafood curry I've ever had) and we were able to celebrate our 14th Wedding Anniversary romantically (while Maggie - the Zulu Gogo looked after our kids). Walks, fishing, horse trails and lots for kids - trampoline, and assortment of jungle gyms, and a tree house kept our 4 kids busy non stop! The small hiccup with our water was sorted out in a jiffy too! Well done to Caroline, Kathy and Annie for running such a good show - we certainly loved it, will recommend it highly to everyone, and will be back!

Room Tip: Try the seafood curry - it is outstanding - esp with one of the great chardonnays from the cellar

“A special birthday for a special sister!”

Our family group comprising 15 persons travelled to Oaklands from Gauteng, Durban and even Cape Town to celebrate my youngest sister's 60th birthday. We had the most memorable weekend with Annie, Caroline and Kathy. They pulled out all the stops to make our weekend wonderful! The accommodation and food was tops! Thank you to you and your excellent staff . We hope to be back in the near future.

“Oaklands Country Manor - definite stay again!”

The food is divine, service impeccable. Stunning views!
My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bass fishing, even caught one (accidentally) for the plate, which was cooked to perfection by the chef!
Lovely horse ride into the countryside.
The sisters who run the place are fun, professional and make you feel like part of the family!
Loved it, will go back again soon!
