We were on a little driving tour of northern Spain and wanted a hotel in the Picos de Europa that had parking - and the Infantado had plenty. The hotel was great value at 61 euros for a comfortable double room, which looked like it had been refurbished fairly recently, including TV and en-suite shower (excellent!). In the evening we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant and had a really good meal, with excellent service. The breakfast (included) was simple (coffee, tea, juice, yoghurt, crossaints, toast, jams, ham, cheese etc), but for the price of the room it was good value. Come here if you want a decent budget conscious room in a great location.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Potes and mountains. This hotel is utterly forgettable. the breakfast is pretty basic and the room where they serve it ( buffet) is really dark and dreary. Our room was right next to the lift which made it very noisy. Otherwise room was adequate and clean. Our rate included dinner, their 'menu del dia', which was as uninspiring as the rest of the place. Stay if you must, but I'm sure there's better to be had. The best thing was that there was plenty of parking.

I stayed here with some friends during a walking holiday in the Picos de Europa. While there's nothing basically wrong with the hotel, I found it to be rather uninspiring and I'm certain that there must be more nicer places to stay in the area.

The hotel faces on to a main road so make sure that you get a room at the back if you're a light sleeper. Single rooms were small, while doubles had more space although the bathrooms in all rooms were very cramped. The restaurant serves excellent evening meals at reasonable prices, but breakfasts were basic, two or three slices of toast (covered in olive oil) and a couple of cups of coffee served by the waiter. No diy buffet breakfasts here!

There's a nice terrace to sit out on during the warm evenings and a good sized pool. Potes itself is 20-25 mins walk away so if you want to eat or drink elsewhere, you've got to make an effort.

We paid 45 euros for singles and 60 for doubles - we got better for less in other parts of the Picos. In summary, the Infantado is good in parts and there's no problem with cleanliness, service etc. It's just so....... ordinary and I wouldn't go there again unless there was nowhere else.
