Peat Inn was as genuine a 5* place as you could ever find. We initially thought about staying in a B&B locally and going to and from the Peat Inn by taxi but decided instead to push the boat out and stay in the accommodation at the Peat Inn....well - what a good decision !!
Welcoming decanter of sherry (no we didn't drink it all !!), as many fluffy towels as you could wish for..and a mezzanine floor with settees, TV, hifi system, tea, coffee and chocolate brownies (which were yummy). We went for the 7 course "taster" menu and just worked our way from amuse-bouche through crab, langoustine, pig cheek, beef tournedos to chocolate and sorbet. Meal was superb, restaurant was intimate and friendly and service was impeccable.
The delightful breakfast was served in our room by friendly staff and rounded off our short stay perfectly.
A fantastic place to go to for a special occasion but at the prices not somewhere for a regular visit !!
