We held our Wedding reception here in August 2011 in the up stairs function room, and were extremley pleased with the service, staff, value for money and venue as a whole.
Sarah was always on hand to answer any questions that we had and was great when it came to recommending the Dj, Flowerist and Photographer, thank you again for all your help!
Anish was equally as helpfull on our big itself, and he and his team really did make our day that extra bit special and go without any hitches even though we did arrive over a hour after we were meant to. Thank you again to you Anish and all the staff for everything you did.
The honeymoon suit that we had the night of the wedding and my Husband and two young Daughter stayed in the night before the wedding was amazing to say the least, It was clean, comfortable and very well furnished.
The wedding breakfast was wonderful, hot and everyone said that they enjoyed the whole meal which was a hugh relief to us :) The evening buffet was equally as good and there was so much of it that our guests ending up taking plates of it back to their rooms!
Breakfast the next morning was also good, and the staff were helpful then too.
The only problem we had with the whole stay was that the Man that was on the reception on the morning after the wedding was quite rude and unhelpful when we came to check out and pay our bill. He tried to over charge us for the three excutive suits we had booked for ourselves and family. We explained that because of all the money we had spent on the wedding Sarah had given us a discounted price on the rooms that we had in writting but he still make us go and unpack ours and our families two other cars to find the paper work that we had for Sarah to prove this!
In the end another female member of staff came out and cleared up the matter for us without any further problems.
On whole we would recommend this hotel for other couple thinking of having there wedding receptions here. It is truely a beautiful venue and the old part of the building and garden really did make a back drop for our photos.
Would stay here time and time again, lovely hotel with helpful staff and management

What can I say? quite a lot!! Uncomfortable bed, damp room that smelt like someone had been smoking in it, lie in no chance, gardener o/side strimming or leaf blowing at 8:30am?
Breakfast? the self serve cooked English never had all of the items available at any one time & very slow refilling, sausages were cheap & nasty!!!

Stayed here one night as my friend and I were attending one of the hotel's Christmas Party nights. Our room was very comfortable, with plenty of hanging space and a good sized bathroom. There was a well-stocked tea/coffee tray. However, the room could have done with some better lighting as I found it very dark. I think all the bedrooms are in the modern part of the building and purpose-built, while the function rooms and restaurant are in the older part, with oak beams etc.

The Christmas dinner at the party was excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The disco afterwards was fun and went on to 1am. On a brief visit back to our room on the second floor, I could not hear the disco at all, so hopefully anyone going to bed earlier would not have been disturbed.

The following morning, breakfast was served in the restaurant, and was very good with lots of choice.

Would definitely consider staying here again.

I had to stay in the area for a meeting and was booked into Donnington Manor.
Check in was speedy and the young chap at reception charming.
The hotel has free wi-fi so this was greatly appreciated.
I was in an executive room,6 ft bed,large sofa,plenty of other comfortable seating and a dining table and four chairs so great if you have work to do and you can spread your papers.
Pillows fantastic so slept like a baby.
Dinner was excellent,tasty food well presented and served by friendly professional staff.they even have local Kent wines on the list,I only tried the white but was superb.shower powerful,they even have organic toiletries in the bathroom.
Breakfast was buffet style,good local produce,sausages so meaty and homemade jam and marmalade.
Will certainly be back when next in the area.
