Planning a holiday in Crete for the third time we were a little bit scared to get dissapointed by Chania region as previously we stayed in Elounda which is considered to be the most fashionable and amazing place in Crete (and may be in the whole Greece). But we were not... We found the region of Chania not less amazing...After 25 minites ride from the airport which is small and not at all overcrowded we arrived in this cozy and charming hotel belonging to the Grecotel chain. Being the members of the Grecotel privilege club we informed the hotel management about the date of our arrival in advance asking for a quiet room with the excellent sea view. This was done perfectly well. The room was very comfortable and clean with a large balcony facing the sea. The sandy beach and the sea near the hotel are one of the best I've ever seen. Plenty of sunbeds and in spite of the fact that the hotel was full you can always find a sunbed at any time and not only in the morning. The same near the swimming pools (there are two ot them). The food in the restaurant (we had half board) was good, may be not always various but of excellent quality and very tasty. The staff is excellent everywhere, always friendly and smiling, ready to help in any situation.
I should mention particularly that in spite of the difficult economic situation in Greece Grecotel maintains the high standards and quality of service. If we come to Greece for a holiday once again we'll stay in Grecotel hotel onl
