Small hotel attached to a great restaurant in northern Italy. Rooms are adequate, beds actually very comfortable. Bath and seating/table area are small but clean. There is a small but tasty breakfast with products from the le calandre bakery. This is not a hotel for a long stay... very little ambience in the modern but adequate rooms. No views. But the food at il calandrino and le calandre are worth a stop here. Rooms are about 120E a night and worth at least that! Small charge for wi-fi.
Book lunch or dinner, if you dare, at le calandre. We have had lunch there twice over a few years and have been very impressed with Massimiliano Alajmo and his family operation. The family runs a store across the street for fine Italian meats, cheeses, Balsamico’s, wines, oils, cold cuts (Culatello! duck prosciutto, many hams) and books. Pack yourself a pic-nic. Top it off with sweets from le calendrino bar/cafe. These are the most beautiful and delicious cakes and bon-bon’s that I have found in Italy.
Another great restaurant in this small town (west of Padova), is La Bulesca which is operated by Daniele who is a cousin to Massimiliano. Try Bulesca for a fabulous, multi-course, traditional dinner with great wines selected by Daniele. Then TRY to have lunch at calandre the next day....
