“FANTASTIC HOTEL, GREAT CHOICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

We stayed at Anemoessa hotel with my wife and another couple. This was our third year in a row and i have to say that Anemoessa lived well up our expectations. The location is great since it offers relaxation and quiet enviroment away from all the fuss that hotels near Mykonos chora offer. It gives you the opportunity to relax away from all the fuss and when you need it , Mykonos town is only a 10 minute drive. Also it is quite close by car to famous beaches like Elia, Kalo Livadi, Super Paradise. The staff were very helpfull and kind and always willing to help us with everything. The hotel owner even helped us book sunbends in famoun beaches and gave us great tips for places to eat fresh fish
( booked us a table also). The rooms are spacious and the view to the sea is spectacular. The pool area is also very nice with fantastic view to the sea. The hotel also offers parking space. A plus is the food which was great too. All in i would definitely recomend it to everyone.

“Excellent Super Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2009

We stayed here and had a rough journey getting to the island but upon meeting the hotel staff were uplifted by their super friendly and caring nature. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only minor negatives are the bathrooms could be a bit more upper end for the hotel price and it's a little far from the action if that's what you want. However, this might also be a plus depending on exactly what you are looking for.

“Beautiful Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2008

Our first impression of the hotel was great, as due to delayed flights we were going to arrive at the hotel past midnight. I thought we should give the hotel a courtesy call to let them know, and the kind lady on reception told us that she would send someone to meet us at the airport, as it might be difficult to get a taxi at this time. So straight off the plane, we were greeted by Aris (who we belive to be the owner - his English wasn't great), who drove us straight to the airport and didn't charge.
The reception area was lovely, very clean and newly designed.
Upon entering the room we were impressed by it's decor and cleanliness, it was simple yet had everything we needed, including two large double wardrobes. There was a mini bar which we were grateful for after the long journey. I checked out the outside area, we had a small terrace with a table and two chairs, we were right next to the pool but our terrace was seperated nicely with a low wall and fauna.
The bathroom was adequate, the shower was pretty much just a tap on a hose, not a spray head, which was dissapointing at first but was more than serviceable.
Breakfast was buffet style, typical greek including yogurt and honey, breads, jams, marmalades, also croissants, baklacva, hams, cheeses, and a selection of hot food inluding omelletes, bacon, sausage and mushrooms. There were also cereals available, and unlimited tea/coffee.
The staff were mostly friendly, although their English left a lot to be desired, which suprised me as on previous trips to Greece most people have spoken fantastic English.
The hotel was full of young couples like us, and was very quiet and peaceful, and we had the pool entirely to ourselves the majority of the time. The sun beds around the pool were very comfortable, and the outside lounge areas were lovely too.
The area surrounding the hotel is mostly scrubland, and it's a five minute walk to the beach. I would suggest going to the smaller Aggi Anna beach to the right of the hotel, rather than Kalafatic directly in front of it, as the sand was nicer and it was generally quieter.

  • Liked — The decor and cleanliness
  • Disliked — Lack of spoken English.

“relaxing holidays”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2008

Just returned from a 4 days staying at Anemoessa Hotel,Mykonos.
The hotel area is very nice with gardens and a very nice small pool(you don't need a bigger one).Rooms are nice ,simple ,very clean, bautifull balcony view and bathrooms, nice with KORRES natural products.
Breakfast good ,rich, served in a nice room or by the pool.Positive thing, they serve tiil 11:00 and weekends till 12:00!!!!!(bravo!!)Negative thing,if you want a glass of water you have to PAY!!!! a bottle or if you drink decafeine coffee you have to order it at the bar and PAY EXTRA!!!!(Common guys for 220 euros a day per room .....)
Staff is smiling and service very good.Overall a very good relaxing holiday.
NOTICE that the hotel is about 10 km from Mykonos town ,so you need car or moto to get around. The road from town to Kalafatis,is very good and you need a 15 min easy drive.
The beach Kalafatis from the hotel is about 400-500 meters ,is nice ,big. with 2-3 restaurants but i prefer the next one Ag.Anna, smaller but nicer.
For food try the" ANEPLORA" restaurant, delicious "mezedes",just 100 meters from the hotel and at night the BADANA pizzeria.
Prices are Mykonos prices( a bit expencive ,like everything on the island)but hey!! you are in Mykonos!!!!Enjoy your time there.

  • Liked — the location and the pool area
  • Disliked — the extra pays required for water and coffee on breakfast time

“Not bad esp if you have a car!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2008

Booked it through booking.com. Got a great deal with breakfast. Newly refurbished hotel. Very modern island decor. White with accent colours like, lime, oranges, fuschia...great views from the rooms and common areas. Nice small swimming pool and ample parking area. Excelent toiletries (Korres natural products) in the bathroms but wished they had some body lotion as well...

Staff friendly esp the lady at the front desk called Maria was extremely helpful. Breakfast variety not too bad and served in a beautifully done breakfast room. Did not use the bar but the room service was good.

Location near Kalfatti's beach is a bit far from the happening side of the island . The beach is pebbly & suitable for windsurfing etc. A rent-a-car is a graet way to reach the hotel and map the island otherwise can be a bit out of the way.

Having a flair for interior design esp hip / boutique hotels, I am not disapointed and am amazed why some of the websites dealing with trendy/cool hotels have not listed it. Overall satisfied with the stay and cannot complain.

  • Liked — The decor, views nad value for money.
  • Disliked — None in particular
