it was our favourite place in greece! we had a beautiful time and the hotel was a huge part of that.
the entire look and feel is lovely. not over-the-top greek, but not bland either. a pretty place with nice decor, including the lovely lamps by the poolside which get lit every night. and so sit there and watch the sun go down is totally out of the world. the view from the hotel is of the beach (where the ferry drops you off) its pretty and nice from that distance. and its close to the chora village - walkable. so always good for a 'night out'... chora is the party place...
the rooms with their green roofs are pretty. the bathrooms are small - but across the islands you get used to this size. but having said that, the bathrooms + rooms were cozy and comfortable. the wooden plank at the bottom of the shower cubicle is lovely - keep the feet off the dirty water and you dont slip either!
the food is decent. we are vegetarian - and there are options even for us. - and good even for vegetarians. but an awesome breakfast spread with so many options and so much to eat and some local greek options as well. and of course the setting for breakfast is lovely. while the poolside is romantic and gorgeous with the lamps in the evening, in the morning the other side of it becomes a happy, chirpy, bright but not shiny place for a lovely, lazy and long breakfast.
the only negative was the staff. they weren't that helpful and some of them rather rude and ill-mannered - especially the main waitress. not something we faced anywhere else in greece!
they have a spa - which is very pricey - so we skipped it! overall, a peaceful, romantic and beautiful place with great value for money!
