The hotel itself was quite good; no complaints really. Nothing too fancy -- everything was standard and what you would expect from a 3* level hotel. nice breakfast.

There is a train station nearby but it is a good 10 min walk there and it seems that trains only ran every 30 min or so. We had a car so we decided to drive into the city. This was no problem for us and our needs (we were certainly aware of where the hotel was and were only staying there 1 night), but I don't think I'd recommend tourists to stay here, as a lot of time would be wasted getting to/from the hotel.

The hotel inside looks much nicer than the outside picture. The outside look reminds of some weird 70s era of metal and glass and I was slightly concerned about straying there. I stayed in several Scandic hotels and this one has one of the best rooms, however. Nice and clean inside, mine had a wide screen flat panel TV too! It's located right next to the E16 highway, yet there was no noice from the traffic whatsoever. I had a car but if you want to use public transportation there's a bus stop nearby and Blumholmen train station that will take you to central Oslo is about 15 min walking distance. The sauna inside provides a nice relaxation after a day spent walking.

I stay here occasionally because of its great location on the E18 just outside Oslo.
The hotel is convenient, clean and fully equiped. It's not the newest Scandic however, and could use a bit of refurbishing.

Parking: Free outside parking

Rooms: typical wooden Scandic style, convenient and clean. Bathroom is very basic and old - but everything works fine.

Restaurant: good

Bar: nice

Good business hotel, less advisable for leisure.
