The cottages look out over a driving range, with a beautiful sillouette of a mountain far away. We are in one of the 2-room units that has a bedroom and a living room and kitchen. It's very roomy with nice finishes (granite countertops, gas stove, satellite TV, etc.). The kitchen is fairly well stocked so it's easy to cook and eat "at home." There is also a gas fireplace, although this is August and the weather here is perfect, so no need for a fire. There is a nice porch with a barbeque. There is a big bathroom in the master bedroom with two sinks (a plus when traveling with a partner), a double-headed shower, and a jettet tub--and another large half-bath off the kitchen.
On the negative side, the carpet has stains all over it. It's not dirty overall, but it looks like there are many spills from previous guests--not a difficult problem to fix with a cheap Hoover. Also, there ae two overhead lightbulbs that need replacing, and the batteries in one of the remotes need replacing. Finally, that couch is possibly the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on.
Having said all this, I would still come back here if staying in the area for a few days because of the conveniences of home. It's a great location to explore Lake Almanor and just a short drive to some wonderful hikes at Lassen Volcanic Nation Park.
