“Disappointed”

Liked:
Wi-Fi in room
Small dishwasher with individual detergent packets supplied
Small window in bathroom
Free parking
Disliked:
No A/C
View out back was of one-level run-down-looking apartments
Uncomfortable bed
No scheduled activities

I agree with AAA's tourbook rating of 2-stars.
I recommend bringing a fan. There is one in room, but a second helps.

Note: They have 1-bedroom units with a full kitchen and 1-bedroom units with a partial kitchen. Be sure you know what your getting, as my trading company had me pay for a 1-bedroom upgrade and I was given a partial kitchen, not a full one.

“Great Home Base for Tahoe Activities”

We booked this stay through RCI as an "extra vacation" so it was an exceptional value for the location. This is a decent, clean, family-friendly resort located in an ideal location. While it is most certainly not going to be mistaken for a Ritz-Carlton, our accommodations were much better than expected - the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. The pool was heated ( a real plus in Tahoe ) and clean. We were able to walk to the casinos which are a few blocks away, as well as to local restaurants and a very nice grocery store. A great stay!

“Good hotel, great location!”

I just got back from The Lodge this week, was there for 5 days. The Lodge itself was great, I got a 1 bedroom with a pull-out coach during my stay. The room was very clean, the kitchen was stalked, the bathroom was clean. Only negative is the tv reception wasn't always the best. Our room faced the street (right on top of reception), so we had a bit of traffic noise. The noise wasn't a big bother since the windows were sound-proof, but a little irritable when you opened the windows. The location was a plus - a few blocks to the lake itself and the California/Nevada stateline and casinos! There are plenty of mom & pop eateries around and within walking distance, there's a huge strip mall about a block or so, so having a car wasn't essential to get around. The pool/jacuzzi always had people in it, so if you're looking to relax on your own its not going to happen. Parking was very easy, just behind the hotel. Overall, great place to stay.

“It was ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2007

Stayed here for a week in December. The nice part about this place is you can easily walk to the casinos. The rooms are rustic but the carpet in ours seemed pretty warn.
This place was just ok for the price, I would go back, but I can't have a rave review.

“Perfect Tahoe Lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2007

Recently stayed at The Lodge at Lake Tahoe. It is a very nice, reasonably priced, family oriented place. We booked a 1 bdrm, full kitchen unit for a week - included a King size bed and fold out Queen sleeper sofa for $117 a night (with AAA discount). The queen sleeper mattress was a bit thin. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. The grounds were well kept and the whole place is a smoke free environment. The units near the road are a bit noisy from the traffic on Pioneer trail. The location is excellent - only a couple blocks from the Heavenly Gondola & the lake. Lots of restaurants nearby and a huge market - Raleys had everything we needed to fix our own meals. I would definitely stay here again.
