After reading the reviews on this site, I had expected a nice hotel with pleasant people at a good price. What I got was a barely average room, in the basement, with one window that fronted on a block wall one foot away. The cost was no different than any hotel along the Alaskan Highway, the staff was loud and rude, and the ice of all things is under lock and key. The hotel is nicely located for site seeing and shopping, but that is only the nice thing I can really say about the Family Hotel.
