This was such a poor experience, I don't know where to start!
The night I arrived, I and colleagues who were also staying at the hotel needed to work so we sat in the breakfast area, I inquired of the night desk attendant about a takeout place we could order from. First she suggested there was none, when I inquired further and insisted there must be a take out pizza or oriental establishment, she reluctantly looked through cabinets and produced a flier. When I asked if there was a phone I could use for calling or if she could place the order she referred me to a house phone suitable only far calling to the rooms!! I had to place the order using my out of town phone thereby making a long distance phone call to an eatery a couple of kilometers down the road!
I stay at hotel rooms more than in my home, as with many properties Radisson properties mot of the time upgrade me automatically. I was given an Executive Queen room. Frankly I can't decide if calling accommodations as deplorable as what I found "Executive" is a worst offense as a customer insult or deceit. I have stayed at several dozen Radisson properties in the last few years including many Country Inns, I have never come across conditions like this nor even in other chains which cater to an even more cost conscious market! There was mismatched furniture with such dark and dingy arms as to make you want to circle wide for fear of accidentally touching them, much less suitable for sitting in. I had a colleague who came over for work and he sat in the couch, the following day the couch still had the depression in it as if he had just gotten up. The carpet was so heavily stained that in some spots it was completely discolored. A TV cabinet was used in reverse with the doors towards the wall so that a refrigerator could be fit on the back of it, a bar table was used in the bedroom with a makeshift wooden box on top to hold the television, I could go on but I believe this provides a general idea.
I also had problems with the heat and with bathroom cleanliness but after seeing a maintenance staff person sneeze repeatedly at the guest coffee station, not only was that the morning I had breakfast there but I was also thought it best to not invite further contamination into the room.
