“disgusting”

this hotel was the worst hotel i have ever seen. coffee pot was dirty with a dirty used coffee filter still in it. fridge had old food and salad dressing left in it from the people before. stains on the bed sheets was a bit gross. you only got one towel unless you complained then they might bring you another one. garbages were never emptied unless you did it your self. bathrooms werent at all very clean. the maids were useless and sketchy looking. this hotel is the worst i would not recommend it to anyone at all. oh and the shower head sprayed water everywhere so when you go out the floors were soaking wet.honestly this place is disgusting and the cops show up every other day and it was loud on the streets. crappy crappy place i would of stayed in my car for this matter if i knew it were this bad. ive seen better and this sure werent it.

“If you've come for the tunnels, stay at Capone's!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

We found the hotel quaint. It is an older hotel, with some of the furnishings probably dating from Al Capone's time, clean and with lots of room. Definitely not fancy, but inexpensive and fitting for the theme we came for. Not a cookie cutter hotel room, but an authentic piece of history. Located down at the beginning of Main Street, surrounded by stone buildings, and directly across from the Tunnel Tours, it also has security in the parking lot 24 hours a day. We're glad the other hotels were full, or we wouldn't have found Capone's Hideaway.

“DUMP! Spend the extra $$ cause this place isn't worth it!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2010

I dont know where to start. I didnt realise I paying up front and their was no refunds. The smell of the room was so bad I had to buy from fabreeze from safeway - it was the only way for the smell to be bearable. I could not open the windows and was uncomfortable leaving the door open cause I was a single woman and the area is NOT the best.

The place was filthy. I used my own towel. I had a terrible sleep cause people kept trying to get into my room all night - not sure if it was a drunk person or someone trying to rob me.

This place is a dump. A dirty, filthy dump.

“Don't know which was worse, the blood on the phone or the stains on my pillow”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2010

After every other place in Moose Jaw was booked and reading the reviews on this site we thought we would give this motel a shot. After all we were only going to be there for about 10 hours (we were just passing through and needed to get a good nights sleep).

Everything about this motel was a disappointment. We arrived at about 9pm and went into the main office which was filled with smoke and the guy who checked us in was clearly stoned. He tried to charge us $99 for the one night when we were told it would cost $79. They force you to pay upfrount instead of at check out and they have a sign at the desk that reads: No Refunds.

Once we got our key we went up the icy stairs to our room where after fiddling for about 3 minutes we couldn't get the key to open the door. We went back down the stairs to the office and told the guy that the key didn't work. He told us he just cut the key and that it was too long for the lock and we just had to pull it a bit out before opening the door. We went up the icy stairs again and after fiddling with it again for 3 minutes we eventually got the door to open only to find that the lights didn't work and it stunk of smoke. We specifically asked for a non smoking room since I am allergic to smoke, within 30 minutes I was starting to feel a reaction. Eventually we made it though the dark to the bathroom where the light work and for the next 20 minutes we tried to figure out what was wrong. We tried combinations of the wall switches with the lamp switches and took out the bulbs to make sure they weren't burnt out. Finally we moved the bed to realize that nothing was even plugged in.

Now let me tell you, turning on the lights was a huge mistake. These are the things that were wrong with the room.
>No alarm clock
>Ashtray in a non smoking room
>Burn markes on the floors and bedding
>Red smears that resembled blood on phone and on wall
>No handsoap just a collection of different branded "facial bars"
>Brown liquid spilled on back of bathroom door
>No bathroom fan, the room got so humid after one shower
>Microwave and coffee pot were dirty
>Fridge didn't work
>Floors were filthy and appeared as if they hadn't been vaccuumed in weeks.
>Bathroom floor was sticky
>Pillows had brownish stains of them like makeup
>Advertised internet didn't work
>Bathroom garbage hadn't been emptied
>Screaming and yelling from motel guests and bars across the street (all night long)
>Huge collection of dust on top of surfaces like the TV
>the shower head sprayed in everywhich direction
>Advertised as a theme motel....the walls of the room were brick painted white...one wall painted red and one piece of motel art above the TV. If there was a theme I would call it "jail".

That probably covers it. I am not the type of person to stand for this type of service or room but honestly I was scared to pick a fight with the owers (they were so sketchy). The other guests at the motel appeared to be of the same type. I also had no where else to go since all other hotels were booked. If ANYONE says that this hotel is good I would assume that they have extemely low standards. Do not stay at this hotel.
