“Sub par at best”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

I have to say if this was 1993 this would probably have been a decent experience. The hotel is so outdated and dingy, the spa is so over chlorinated, the prices are completly outrageous, and the staff is not very accomodating. Between losing a reservation for my grilfriend that was getting married this weekend. originally putting her in what looked like the basement of crack house with barely enough room for 2 people to sleep in, we asked for 2 double beds and recieved 1 bed with no budging to fix the error. We recieved a parking pass but there was no room to park. The maid walked into the room to clean without even knocking, when I had put a "do not disturb" sign on the door. This was just overall a upsetting experience. I can honestly say i would never stay here again.
As for the rooms, the carpet was burnt in multiple places with an iron, the garbage was full the pillows were awful and the blinds wouldn't close. The sink and the tub were dirty and there were no glasses in our room, the TV was literally from 1990, so fuzzy, and there was no volume control, it would just blast for no reason. I recieved an electric shock on more then one occasion trying to plug things in, you could hear everything that was going on in the rooms and hallways around you, and the entire place smelt like spray paint. All around a terrible experience

Room Tip: If you try and get a "Good room" go above the Casino side not the main pool side, either w...

Dear Smile12333:

Thank you for passing on your comments regarding your past stay. We do review all our feed back, the good, bad and ugly and try to learn and improve from them. I can not speak to the lost reservations, but glad we were able to accommodate your friend. We are aware that some of our televisions are older and are replacing them slowly but surely. If you could E mail your name I would be able to follow up on the guest room you stayed in and could rectify the items you mention.

Yours truly

“Very nice, but been to better spas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I loved the look of the place. The employees don't seem to be very interested in their jobs, but you see that everywhere with customer service positions. It was confusing to figure out the parking situation as well. We had booked a king suite and had been given a complementary upgrade to a jacuzzi suite when we checked in. I have no idea why, but thank you to the hotel! The room's beautiful, with awesome bedding, and a balcony facing the park, very pretty. I was surprised at the amount of poorly repaired or totally unrepaired damage in the room (jacuzzi tiling, sofa, table), especially for the price we were paying (well over $200). The room was an excellent size, but had an outdated TV. Housekeeping forgot to stock the 2 bathrobes that are promised to be in the room. We called down and asked to get them delivered, but they never came. It could be our fault as we had our "do not disturb" on the door so perhaps they tried to deliver them but didn't want to bother us. We ordered supper from room service, and that was generally okay, food was excellent, service was a little long and they had to call back to ask details, but the thing I disliked most was how pricy it was. Liked the spa pool but found that the water itself wasn't anything special. I love how the pool is set up with an outside and indoor portion, and that you can just swim between the 2 parts. However, because of this set-up, I find the pool water can get pretty dirty with insects and leaves falling in the water outside and then circulating into the indoor part of the pool. Loved the sauna as well, but didn't spend much time in there as it was too hot for me. I think it's nice that they offer cups of water poolside as well, as it really helps to stay hydrated.

Overall, it was a nice stay and a nice treat, but I wouldn't do it again unless the rates were greatly lowered. It's just not worth it otherwise, as there's another spa I frequent that is only slightly less fancy, offers the same services, has nicer water, and is much cheaper.

Room Tip: A view facing the park is awesome. Also, 4th floor is very nice above the casino, no noise whatsoeve...

“Outdated dirty and overpriced”

We have stayed there 3 times over the last 6 years and its on the decline .as per most reviews poor service dirty rooms worn out basically my wife complained and we received $100 off. For a place that promotes its self as world class its not even in the top 15 motels in the province . The ramadas & canalta in province hAve nicer suites for less. I travel the prov and it wouldn't make my top 20 . Stay at one of the other motels and use the money you save at wraptures or Sahara spas

“Very nice, relaxing retreat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Spent two nights at the Temple Gardens and found it very enjoyable. Was originally booked at the Days Inn but soon checked out when I found out it was occupied by 5 hockey teams! To my surprise, it was only $50 per night more to stay there which I thought was a good deal ($179 per night). The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and bedding. The hotel is definitely showing signs of wear which is a shame considering it is on Canada's list of top spa-hotels.

I had a paraffin wax pedicure and deep tissue massage which were both great. The pool is very nice but super crowded as it is open to the general public. It is quieter from 7am-9am and after 10pm (open until midnight).

I used the gym which had two treadmills, a recumbent bike, and some free weights.

I would stay there again, perhaps during the week when it is quieter.

“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

When i walked in the doors to temple gardens i was greeted with a warm smile from the bellman and the front desk staff. I stayed here for two nights and on the second night of my stay i went to enjoy the mineral pool. I was provided with a robe to go back and forth from the pool. Spending the night relaxing in the mineral waters under the stars was amazing and i would stay at this hotel again because the staff was friendly and welcoming and the spa experience was incredible. Thank you to the staff for allowing me to have a great and relaxing stay!
