“Smart modern hotel”

Comfortable one night stop-over stay in a smart, large, modern , well furnished room. Fitness room with brand new equipment. But too quiet. Restaurant deserted on Friday night and Hotel bar "closed for summer". Hotel located close to several restaurants and bars. Behind bus station with cafes ideal for quick, cheap breakfast.

Trois Rivieres is a dull town with the air of faded glory. Lots of closed down shops. Except for Rue des Forges which is very busy and lively atmosphere. At night the street-side bars are full to bursting. eg Orangekaki. Noisy lively and great for mussels.

“Ugh -- but at least it's cheap”

It's a Days Inn in a dumpy, industrial city... at least you know what you're getting.

The rooms are dated but clean, the bathrooms are small, but renovated. Our air conditioning unit smelled like it was a bit moldy, but it kept us cool all night.

The free breakfast should be skipped -- the pastries are out of a box and the bagels come in a plastic bag.

I'd stay only if you're too tired to make it to Quebec City (if you're headed east) or to Montreal (west).
