Our second stay, this time traveling with another couple. We love the place, the location and especially the staff. Thanks to Alex and a Pierre for their kind advice.
We had the motel-style room--adequate for sleeping except one morning I was awakened by early-rising neighbors. The room was poorly lit with a dark ceiling. We didn't experience these problems on our previous stay.
My son stayed in a better room in the main part of the hotel, a room we found to be more enjoyable. I would recommend spending the $15
upgrade.
We walked down to the river and were enticed to return with bikes in summer to take advantage of the green route which appears long and pretty. In winter it would be a good feature for those who snowshoe or x-c ski.
I had good espresso and alonge from the cafe but we went elsewhere for meals. We found restaurants just a little elevated in price but none of them exorbitant, even on the quaint-beyond-quaint rue le Petite Champlain.
Don't miss the Chute Morency and the basilica at Beuapre (St. Anne)--both stunning.
We were very pleaed with our visit.
