I thoroughly recommend this hotel. The part we were staying in appeared to be brand new and was certainly spotless and pleasantly decorated. The room and bathroom were small but perfectly adequate. The location is excellent and Jean Francois and Sandie bend over backwards to be helpful and friendly. If I am lucky enough to ever go back to Quebec I will definitely stay here.

We stayed in mid-October after much research on QC and lodgings. My husband and I were most concerned with proximity to the old city and overall value. The Auberge Aux Deux Lions was perfect. The room was so clean, it seemed like we were the first people to have ever stayed in it! The bed was so comfortable, we slept in until after 10 the first morning. Upon arrival, Sandie spent 45 minutes going over the local things to do and making recommendations on a map based on our interests. She helped us avoid things that would have put a damper on our stay (such as paying for overpriced meals that weren't very good) and helping us find the local eateries and shops. Within a two to five minute walk are great cafes and restaurants. There is even a large grocery store so you don't have to eat every meal out. We truly enjoyed our stay and our host, Jean Francois couldn't have been better. We had a truly wonderful stay and will absolutely return.

This is a really great place to stay. I very rarely write reviews, but I was persuaded when I booked by the glowing references that I read about Jean Francois and this lovely friendly hotel. The five star reviews are spot on and I thought it only fair to pass on the good vibes.

The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet with en suite and wi-fi access. The hotel is environmentally aware, there's kitchen facilities if you want them and the whole place has a great feel to it. I really settled in over four days at a conference in Quebec and was made to feel very welcome, both to the hotel and to Quebec.

It has a great situation within easy walking distance of the old town and close to some fine restaurants and bars. Above all, my work colleague and I had many laughs with Jean Francois - he made the whole trip more enjoyable.

My wife and stayed for 4 nights in this fantastic hotel. The staff and owner are great, very helpful and outgoing. We had a room in the new addition which was the best, large size with a small kitchen, ensuite, and near to the outside door which made coming and going very easy. The hotel was right on the city bus routes and not that far from the historical area. There is a street, named Cartier, a block away that has stores, markets and restaurants, all very good, in addition, there is a breakfast place only a few doors away. Our experience couldn't have been better. When we go back to Quebec City, we will definitely stay here.
