Stayed there in mid-May 2011 for 4 nights. Location is fabulous. Steps from The Chateau Frontenac, the Funicular, the Lower Town, and plenty of restaurants. Half a block from the Alley of Artists. Found the price fairly good for location. Paid $109 a night. Could have found more affordable places a bit further from this location, but wanted this locale.
The room I had was a Superior Queen. Great brick walls, with 2 windows facing the Trinity Church grounds. Very little storage for your clothes though. So pack light. The staff were friendly, but spoke very little English (it is Quebec City after all). A very good continental breakfast is included, with croissants, and bagels, and fruit salads. Just make sure you get there before 9am, as it goes fast.
There were black flags hanging outside the hotel. I asked what that symbolized. The staff were unsure. I think it has to do with Saint-Anne somehow. Would still like to know the meaning.
I went in mid-May, so the weather was in transition from a windy cold Spring into a mild one. Had to get a toque to cover my head the first few days.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, depending on the price of the season. You won't be disappointed with the ambiance or the location.
